Mathematical operation is one of the six core literacy in mathematics,and it has a significant impact on the development of mathematical literacy of high school students.As the basic stage of high school learning for students,senior one is also a critical period for cultivating high school students' mathematical operation literacy.Therefore,it is extremely necessary to understand the current situation and influencing factors of the mathematical operation literacy of senior one students,and to explore the cultivation strategies of the mathematical operation literacy of senior one students.Based on this,this paper focuses on the following three issues:(1)What is the current level of mathematical operation literacy of senior one students?(2)What are the factors that affect the mathematical operation literacy of senior one students?(3)What are the suggestions for cultivating the mathematics operation literacy of senior one students?Based on the above issues,this study selected 460 students from 9 out of 14 classes of senior high school in a county in Gansu Province,and 9 teachers related to mathematics teaching of senior high school as the research subjects.Literature analysis,testing,questionnaire survey and interview method were adopted to study the current situation of senior high school students' mathematical literacy level and its influencing factors.Through determining the evaluation framework of mathematical operation literacy level,developing mathematical operation literacy survey tools(student test paper,questionnaire and teacher interview outline),conducting field survey and testing,collecting and analyzing data,the following findings were finally made:The current level of mathematical operation literacy of senior one students is:(1)The overall level of mathematics operation accomplishment of senior one students is at level two,which belongs to the middle level.(2)The overall level of the three performance dimensions of mathematical operation literacy of senior one students is also at level two,and the levels of each performance dimension are all at the middle level or above.Moreover,students' grasp of the situation and problems as well as knowledge and skills is slightly better than that of thinking and expression.(3)There are class differences and urban-rural differences in senior one students' mathematical operation literacy level and each performance dimension level.The class level is higher,the students' mathematics literacy level is higher,the level of student performance in all dimensions to achieve the higher,the county students' mathematical operation literacy level and each performance dimension level is significantly higher than the rural students.There are differences in mathematics operation literacy level and each performance dimension level between different genders,but the differences are not significant.There are many factors affecting the mathematical operation literacy of senior one students,among which:(1)Students' own factors are the main factors influencing the level of students' mathematical operation literacy,in which students' mastery of mathematical operation knowledge and skills has the greatest influence on the level of students' mathematical operation literacy;(2)The teacher factor is an important factor affecting the level of mathematical operation literacy of senior high school students;(3)The environment and the participation of others have little influence on the level of mathematical operation literacy of senior one students;(4)The improper connection between junior and senior high school knowledge and teaching methods affects the mathematical operation literacy level of senior high school students.Based on this,the following seven suggestions are proposed:(1)Understand the problem situation and clarify the operational objects;(2)Master the algorithm and pay attention to the generation process of knowledge;(3)Guide students to explore different calculation ideas and optimize the calculation path;(4)Guide students to correctly understand mathematical operations and stimulate their interest in learning;(5)To cultivate students' good computing habits and strong willed qualities;(6)Actively improve teachers' mathematical operation teaching view and teaching methods;(7)Pay attention to the cohesion of mathematical operation literacy training in junior and senior high schools.
