In agricultural and pastoral areas, problems have been handled.Specifically, food and clothing have been supplied enough and compulsory education, basic medical care and housing have been guaranteed.Compulsory education in agricultural and pastoral areas has been consolidated and developed. The quality of the poor population has been improved in an all-round way.Student learning engagement in the compulsory education stage is the sum of students' cognitive engagement, behavioral engagement and emotional engagement.Student learning engagement is not only a measure of student learning quality, but also an important reference index for testing the quality of compulsory education. This study uses questionnaires, interviews, observations, and material collection methods to study the learning input of students in compulsory education in agricultural and pastoral areas.A total of 1100 questionnaires were distributed and 1035 were returned. The questionnaire return-ratio was 94.1%.Among the 1035 returned questionnaires,84 invalid questionnaires were eliminated, and 951 valid questionnaires were obtained, with a questionnaire effective rate of 91.9%.Analyze valid questionnaires through SPSS26.0,combine interview data, classroom observations, and physical data to explore the influencing factors of students' learning engagement. The study found that the study engagement of students in compulsory education in this area is at a medium level. In the learning behavior engagement, students show poor learning persistence, low concentration, insufficient self-control.In terms of learning emotional engagement, learning value recognition is high, but the school's sense of belonging is not strong, and the learning experience is not good.In terms of cognitive engagement, students' cognitive level is generally at a medium level, and students' metacognitive level needs to be improved.Through the analysis of the difference of demographic variables,it is found that there are significant differences in the learning engagement of different schools and grades. There are no significant differences in learning input among students of different genders and ethnic groups. There are significant differences in the educational level of students' parents, the number of children in the student's family, and the student's family economy in terms of learning engagement. On this basis, the factors affecting the learning engagement of students in the compulsory education stage in agricultural and pastoral areas are analyzed from the aspects of individuals, schools, teachers, families and society. The research found that the individual's internal learning motivation is insufficient,self-expectation value is low, learning burnout increases,Weak basic knowledge and individual dropout experience have a decisive impact on learning engagement.School scale and management, school cultural atmosphere, campus interpersonal relationships and campus class management have a continuous impact on students' learning engagement.Students' learning cognitive engagement, behavioral engagement and emotional engagement are directly affected by teachers' educational concepts, teachers' teaching methods, teachers' evaluation and feedback, and teachers' emotional care.Family factors have a supportive impact on students' learning investment, such as weak family education concepts, parents' low educational level,Parents' backward educational behaviors and disharmony within the family affect students' learning engagement.Social factors have an indirect impact on students' learning engagement, such as the influence of social public opinion environment, mass media negative information, social bad behaviors, and traditional customs and habits on students' learning engagement. The influencing factors of students' learning engagement are not independent of each other, but a relationship of mutual influence and interaction. From the perspective of the interaction model analysis of the influencing factors of student learning engagement, social environment provides indirect guidance for student learning engagement, family support provides support for student learning engagement, school environment provides basic conditions for student learning engagement, and teachers provide direct guidance for students' learning engagement, and personal factors reflect the learning motivation, reading beliefs, value judgments, and behavior habits behind students' learning engagement. In response to the above problems, the researcher believe that to increase student engagement in compulsory education in agricultural and pastoral areas,it is necessary to make full use of social resources to increase investment in basic education. The school builds a learning atmosphere that meets the individual needs of students, builds a home-school co-education platform in agricultural and pastoral areas.Teachers pay attention to students' individual learning differences.Students self-regulate their learning psychology, and devote themselves to learning.
