With the rapid development of economy,a variety of disasters are constantly emerging in the world.Various natural disasters,such as earthquake,tsunami,and man-made disasters(e.g.,fire disaster and environment pollution)threaten to our life and property.Therefore,the state and society are paying more attention to improve the disaster literacy of the whole people.The students in senior high school are becoming more and more mature in their thinking and behavior,which is a crucial period for them to learn knowledge and skills about disasters and form the awareness of taking responsibility for disasters.Therefore,it is important to carry out disaster education and training of disaster prevention in senior high school.In this study,we mainly adopted the methods of questionnaire survey,interview survey and case research to investigate the current situation of students' disaster literacy and the implementation of disaster education in geography teaching in three key classes and parallel classes in Jiamusi No.2 senior high school.Through the investigation,we found that the disaster literacy cultivation in senior high school is not optimistic,which was mainly resulted from the incomplete grasp of disaster knowledge,prominent contradiction between knowledge and practice,lacking of comprehensive practice opportunities and incomplete evaluation mechanism.Based on the theories of sustainable development and disaster science,we combined the teaching theory of constructivism with the cultivation requirements of the core quality in geography.In this study,we designed the curriculum of disaster education for different types of courses and made a summary through the actual teaching cases,and put forward ideas for improving the teaching ability of disaster education in senior high school At this time,changing the teaching and learning methods of high school geography disaster education,making full use of comprehensive practical activities inside and outside the school and the network platform,and strengthening communication and cooperation with emergency management departments are the mainly strategies for improving high school geographical disaster education.
