With the advancement of the urbanization process brought about by my country’s economic development,the size of my country’s floating population is growing rapidly,and the structure of floating population is also changing rapidly.As an important part of the floating population,migrant children are also the focus of attention from all walks of life.All kinds of problems in the growing process of education,socialization,etc.of migrant children in urban life have always been important contents of professional services for social work.Migrant children who are far away from their hometowns will need to improve their peer relationships due to the lack of communication time with their parents,the neglect of urban children in communities and schools,lack of awareness of themselves,and lack of self-confidence.During the internship process in the H community of Kunming,the author contacted the migrant children in the community and observed the actual situation of migrant children in peer interaction.Using questionnaire surveys and interviews to collect relevant data,it was found that migrant children in the H community have poor initiative and insufficient self-confidence in the social process;language and non-verbal expression skills are weak;awareness of sharing and cooperation needs to be improved And other issues.Aiming at the problems of floating children in the H community,the author uses the social support theory and the mirror I theory as guidance in the course of practical development.Through nine group activities,the author aims to help the group members improve the ability of peer communication.Let team members recognize the importance of communication and cooperation in peer interaction in group services;enhance team members’ self-confidence in peer interaction and enhance team members’ initiative in social interaction;help team members improve their peer interaction Verbal and non-verbal competence.In the group service process,team games,picture book reading,watching videos,sitcoms and other activities are used to help group members obtain peer communication skills and help group members continue to strengthen.In this study,the author found that the group work service has certain effectiveness in improving the peer communication problems of group members.The acceptance of migrant children and urban children in the group is increasing;at the same time,the initiative and self-confidence of migrant children in the process of peer communication,And social skills have been improved.The author also reflects on the inadequacies of the research and believes that the scope of group services is limited and can only provide services to a small number of migrant children in the community;the lack of practical ability of social workers will also affect the effectiveness of group services;migrant children The improvement of peer communication skills requires the joint cooperation and efforts of social workers and migrant children’s families,schools,and communities.
