With its noble and sincere sentiment,ingenious artistic conception,and plain and natural language style,Ah,Homeward Bound I go! is favored by readers,attracts the attention of both ancient and modern scholars,and is included in various versions of Chinese textbooks in different periods.For this classic text replete with literary and teaching value,contemporary scholars have done a lot of detailed research on its sentiment,artistic features,creation time,and reasons for seclusion and arrived at rich interpretation outcome.However,though plenty of research has been done,combing and refining of such research are inadequate,the importance of interpretation outcome of successive dynasties is usually ignored,textbook research is weak,and its teaching priorities and difficulties as well as teaching value can hardly be clarified.To a certain extent,such deficiencies in teaching research have hampered front-line teachers' correct interpretation and effective teaching of the text.In this thesis,interpretation outcomes of successive dynasties have been explored and sorted out to provide better guidance to teaching.In this thesis,the inclusion and compilation of Ah,Homeward Bound I go! in textbooks have been vertically and horizontally studied to clarify the teaching expectation of textbook authors and the two set teaching priorities of “understanding the author's sentiment” and “appreciating the artistic features of the text”.After sorting out interpretation of successive dynasties and textbook research,the author has analyzed the teaching cases of the text.While summarizing experience,the author has found such deficiencies in the teaching practice of Ah,Homeward Bound I go! as “the lack of the stylistic awareness of ‘ci'”,“inaccurate understanding of the author's sentiment”,and“unclear time of creation”.Targeting these deficiencies,the author has put forward four teaching suggestions of “identify the style and design teaching according to the style”,“clarify the creation time and restore the writing context”,“seize visible conflicts and deepen text analysis”,and “compare and read classic works and appreciate the subtle simplicity of Tao poetry” and offered the teaching design of Ah,Homeward Bound I go!accordingly.
