In the current social environment of knowledge economy,the society has put forward higher and higher requirements for the comprehensive quality of talents,and critical thinking has increasingly become an important indicator to measure a person's comprehensive quality.As the key period for the formation of teenagers' thoughts and values,the education effect of high school is directly related to the level of the country's future construction and development.Therefore,how to effectively cultivate and improve the critical thinking ability of senior high school students is particularly important.The teaching of argumentative writing in senior high school bears not only the mission of mother tongue teaching,but also the important task of improving the critical thinking of senior high school students.At present,there are many problems in the teaching of argumentative writing in senior high school in determining teaching objectives,choosing teaching contents,using teaching methods and carrying out teaching evaluation.Therefore,the development of this research is not only the objective requirement of the development of The Times,but also the essential requirement of improving the quality of teaching and student literacy.Based on Piaget's theory of stages of cognitive development,Dewey's theory of introspective thinking,and the provisions of the curriculum standards on critical thinking training,this study uses literature analysis method,questionnaire survey method,interview method and case analysis method.First of all,in this study,on the basis of relevant research results at home and abroad for reference,mainly using self-made questionnaire method,from the teacher's teaching target,content,method,effect,evaluation of five dimensions,600 ordinary high school students in S province Y city as investigation object,and obtain a large amount of real data,and supplemented by interview method,This paper summarizes the problems existing in the cultivation of students' critical thinking in argumentative writing teaching of senior high school,such as the lack of clear teaching objectives,blind selection of teaching content,simple application of teaching methods,and superficial teaching evaluation.Secondly,in view of the problems found in the above investigation,this study believes that the causes of the problems are as follows: the utilitarian teaching of teachers in the exam-oriented education environment,the deviation of teachers' argumentative writing teaching concept,the improvement of teachers' knowledge accomplishment,and the improvement of teachers' argumentative writing teaching ability;Finally,this study combined with the teaching case to change teachers' teaching ideas,enhance teachers' knowledge accomplishment,improve teachers' practical teaching ability,these three aspects to optimize the current high school argument of cultivating the critical thinking in writing teaching present situation,so as to improve teachers cultivate students' critical thinking level,promote the development of deepening of education teaching.
