The argumentative writing plays an important role in high school Chinese language learning,which is also closely related to the development of student's thinking pattern.Thus,it is highly suggested that the argumentative writing teaching process should be combined with the cultivation of critical thinking,so that they two can promote each other.By means of documentary research,interview,questionnaire survey as well as case analysis,the paper discusses the relevant strategies based on researches upon the present situation of senior high school students' writing and development of student's critical thinking pattern.On the level of teaching concept,the author draws lessons from Professor Sun Shaozhen's and Professor Pan Xinhe's methods of "concrete analysis" for argumentative writing and foreign methods of "problem-solving" with the application of critical thinking.On the level of teaching implementation,the author first emphasizes the rules and basic methods of logical application,and then takes concrete examples of crtical thinking application in some literary works of our country,such as Lu Xun's essays,Deng Tuo's essays and Essays in Melon Patch,and discusses how to correctly cultivate the critical spirits of senior high school students.Furthermore,the paper researches the articles concerning critical thinking in the newspapers and compared them with the commentary writings of senior high school students,which adds the critical mind into senior high student's daily life.With the case study of compositions of the college entrance examination,the paper suggests that critical thinking method should be the breakthrough point in the teaching process of argumentative writing of senior high school students,which can also improve the argumentative writing level of senior high school students.
