Drama-in-Education is a new interdisciplinary and integrated discipline of drama methods applied to education,which emerged in Europe and the United States at the beginning of the 20 th century and has since continued to gain momentum in countries around the world.This teaching method completely overturns the traditional teaching mode,making the classroom a "theater",teachers and students become "directors" and "actors",the curriculum becomes a "script",and teaching becomes a "performance process".The secondary school music curriculum encourages musical creativity and advocates disciplinary integration,and Drama-in-Education can maximize the practical nature of music classes,while also integrating dance,drama and other art forms,allowing students to use their imagination in creating scripts,deepening their understanding of music in performance,and educating them in a subtle way.This open,creative and interesting teaching mode is gradually being practiced in China's primary and secondary school classrooms as an emerging educational tool.The author has integrated the secondary school music curriculum with educational drama through teaching practice,analyzed two cases that have been repeatedly practiced in the classroom,and summarized the problems that are likely to arise in the practice of Drama-in-Education in secondary school music as well as the implementation suggestions,hoping to provide teaching reference and research materials for front-line secondary school music teachers and related researchers.The full text consists of five sections.The first part is the introduction of this thesis,in which the author explains the reasons for studying Drama-in-Education,analyzes the current state of research at home and abroad,and explains the research ideas and methods used in this thesis.The second part provides a general analysis and introduction of Drama-in-Education from three aspects: theoretical foundation,conceptual definition,and curriculum construction methods.In the third part,the author conducted questionnaire distribution and interviews with secondary school music teachers,using data to visualize the current status of Drama-in-Education application in the music curriculum.The fourth part applies the theory of educational practice to the secondary school music classroom through front-line teaching practice,represented by two cases,and elaborates the author's teaching practice process.The fifth part analyzes the innovative points and shortcomings of Drama-in-Education in secondary school music curriculum in response to the previous cases,and then proposes suggestions and measures for classroom optimization.
