With the reform of general high school music curriculum deepening,the Ministry of Education officially released General High School Music Curriculum Standards(2017 edition)IN December 2017 and the high school music class entered to a new stage.One of the important changes of amended general high school music curriculum standards was condensing the core attainments of music discipline--aesthetic perception,artistic expression,cultural understanding,which were used to guide new curriculum design and all teaching practice and specify the music discipline contribution of “moral education”.Based on that,Hua Cheng Edition High School Music Appreciation(2004)was amended and published in 2019.High school music appreciation material was the critical carrier of implementing high school music appreciation class and main media of cultivating core music discipline attainment,as well as the major tool for music teachers and students carrying out music appreciation teaching exercise.Therefore,it's of great significance to the construction and research on high school music appreciation material.The paper adopted analysis research method,survey research method and comparative study method to conduct analysis and application investigation on the textbook Hua Cheng Edition High School Music Appreciation(2019),summing up the characteristics,changes and problems of the new textbook.The paper provided reference to Hua Cheng Edition High School Music Appreciation(2019)in amending and applying.The paper consisted of five chapters.The first chapter was the introduction,stating the reasons of selecting the topic,research status,research innovation,research methods,research intention and significance;The second chapter summarized the high school music appreciation and music textbooks and expounded the concepts of music appreciation and music textbooks and the development Chinese high school music textbooks;The third chapter analyzed the structure design,content and presentation way of Hua Cheng Edition High School Music Appreciation(2019)and the producing features of the new textbook.The fourth chapter was about the using investigation and analysis on Hua Cheng Edition High School Music Appreciation(2019),including the introduction of basic investigation situation,statistics and analysis on results of questionnaire survey over teachers and students.The fifth chapter was about the thought and suggestions to Hua Cheng Edition High School Music Appreciation(2019),concluding major problems during using the textbook based on analyzing the textbook content and application status and proposing practical suggestions from amending and applying.It's hoped to make music teachers have an overall understanding on the new textbook and followed the changes of textbook to apply it to future music teaching practice.The author hoped the research could be a reference to future music appreciation textbooks compiling and amending and to contribute to the construction and research over high school music textbooks.
