As one of the compulsory courses in senior high school,Music Appreciation course is an important way to cultivate students' music aesthetic perception and cultural understanding.With the deepening reform of the basic education curriculum and the new college entrance examination,the Ministry of Education of China issued “Music Curriculum Standard of General High School(2017 Edition)” at the end of 2017,and then each publishing house revised and published the high school “Music Appreciation” textbook in 2019 and gradually put it into use.“Music Appreciation” is a high school music textbook with the highest opening rate and the widest range of use in the high school music curriculum in China,and People's Music Publishing House is the professional music publishing house with the longest history in China.In recent years,more and more scholars have invested in the research of music teaching materials.The research of music teaching materials is not only an indispensable part of the theoretical research of music education,but also one of the important tasks in the process of music teachers' teaching practice.In this paper,content analysis,questionnaire survey and data analysis are used as research methods,and high school “Music Appreciation” textbook(2019 Edition)published by People's Music Publishing House is taken as research object.Text research and quantitative research are carried out on the textbook.Through summarizing the characteristics of the textbook in combination with the “Music Curriculum Standard of General High School(2017 Edition)”,teachers can understand the textbook from different perspectives.From the two aspects of teaching material construction and teaching,this paper puts forward personal views,which can provide reference suggestions for the construction and development of high school music teaching materials and the teaching practice of high school music curriculum.This paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter mainly expounds the reason,significance and current situation of the research,research ideas and methods.The second chapter is divided into three periods to clarify the development background of Music Appreciation in senior high schools in China.The third chapter analyzes the system structure and text content of the high school “Music Appreciation” textbook published by People's Music Publishing House.The fourth chapter carries on the quantitative analysis research to the questionnaire survey data of the front-line music teacher about the approval degree and the satisfaction degree of the teaching materials.The fifth chapter summarizes the characteristics of the teaching materials by combining the evaluation of “Music Curriculum Standard of General High School(2017 Edition)”,and puts forward suggestions from two aspects: the construction ofteaching materials and the teaching of teachers.
