Research On The Improvement Of Social Participation Ability Of Poverty-stricken Farmers

The overall victory of poverty alleviation and difficulties tackling's strategy indicates that China's rural areas have got rid of the shackles of absolute poverty and entered the stage of all-round development.As one of the main participants in poverty reduction and rural development,the construction of farmers' individual "economic-social" resilience is the core of stabilizing poverty alleviation and resisting the risk of returning to poverty,and it is also one of the important tasks to promote the effective connection between poverty alleviation and difficulties tackling and rural revitalization.On the one hand,social participation reflects the initiative of farmers,on the other hand,it is beneficial to adjust the relationship between family and society,expand the social support network,make farmers better integrate into society,explore their own potential and enhance their earning skills,which is an important symbol of the resilience construction of "economy-society".Therefore,it is particularly important to explore ways to promote the ability of social participation.Stimulating the potential of vulnerable groups and promoting social participation have always been the focus of social work in practice.Social work has unique advantages in value concept and working methods.Based on this,the author made a field investigation on poverty-stricken farmers in X village in northern Shanxi,and tried to describe and analyze the current situation of poverty-stricken farmers' social participation ability in X village from the perspective of feasibility theory and social support theory,in order to further clarify the realistic representation and predicament of poverty-stricken farmers' social participation ability in X village,and put forward practical paths and solutions.After research,it was found that the awareness and behaviors of social participation of poverty-stricken farmers in Village X were obviously insufficient.Social work could be carried out from two aspects,one was to improve farmers' awareness of social participation from within farmers,the other was to provide skills training for farmers from the external environment of village collective,optimize village collective culture and build a platform for social participation,aiming at helping poverty-stricken individuals to re-identify themselves,and to enhance farmers' confidence in social participation by tapping their own potential,thus enhancing individual action ability to become the practical support for effective poverty alleviation.
