Education is of fundamental importance to the fulfillment of our great long-range mission and teachers are the basis of education.As the founders of basic education,elementary school teachers have a particularly important responsibility.While educating students,they should also continue to learn and improve their professional qualities in order to adapt to the development of basic education reform.In the process of teachers' learning,learning engagement is one of the important influencing factors.By methods of documentation,questionnaire survey and interviewing,this paper studies the learning engagement of primary school teachers in L county.Firstly,based on summary and sorting of the literature related to learning engagement,the research defines the core essence and elements of "learning engagement" and transforms the dimensions of the questionnaire,thus the "Primary School Teachers' Learning Engagement Questionnaire" is compiled.Secondly,adopt the questionnaire to investigate the current situation of learning engagement of 312 primary school teachers from urban,rural,and urban-rural fringe schools,in L County,Luzhou City,Sichuan Province.SPSS24.0 is used to statistically analyze the survey data to summarize the current situation and problems of primary school teachers' learning engagement.The paper also analyzes the reasons for the problems based on interviews with 6 teachers,and finally puts forward solutions to improve learning engagement of primary school teachers in L County,Luzhou City,Sichuan Province.The results show that the learning input of primary school teachers in L County of Luzhou in Sichuan Province is above the middle level,but the cognitive input is relatively low.There are differences in the level of learning engagement among teachers of different ages,and the level of learning engagement of teachers under 30 is the lowest.The level of learning engagement of teachers with different teaching years is different,and the level of learning engagement of teachers with more than 16 years of teaching years is relatively low.The level of learning engagement of teachers with different education background is different,and the level of learning engagement of teachers with college degree or below is relatively low.The level of learning engagement of teachers with different professional titles is different,and the level of learning engagement of teachers with grade 3 or below is relatively low.The level of learning engagement of teachers in different positions is different,and the level of learning engagement of head teachers is relatively low compared with other positions.The level of learning input of teachers in different types of schools is also different,and the level of learning input in rural schools is relatively low.In view of the problems of primary school teachers' learning engagement,combined with interviews and theoretical research,the author analyzes the causes of the problems from multiple perspectives.The corresponding solution strategies are put forward,including: cognitive strategies,self-planning,and self-supervision.Teachers should adjust the mentality and adapt to the surrounding environment as soon as possible,who also need to correct attitude and establish the concept of lifelong learning.School should offer multi-dimensional support and establish a variety of incentive mechanisms.
