Practical Research On Social Work Boosting Rural Community Livelihood Development

The livelihood development of farmers is one of the important ways to sustain poverty alleviation in the impoverished areas of western China.In this study,taking part in the "Love Huajiao" project of M agency as an example,starting from the livelihood development status of Yanhe Village in Zhaotong City,Yunnan Province and the problems existing in the project intervention process,the strategy of social work intervention in the community livelihood development of Yanhe Village was formulated.Help the villagers of Yanhe Village to increase their income and achieve sustainable livelihood development.This research is based on the advantage perspective theory and the asset-based community development model.It takes villagers in Yanhe Village as the research object,collects and analyzes data through interviews and observation methods,and finds that the livelihood development of Yanhe Village has farmers' participation needs and possibilities.Sustained development needs and demand for broadening product sales.To this end,this article takes community assets as the foundation,farmers as the main body,and community work as the main method and process of activity development,intervening from the three levels of awareness,technology and market.(1)At the level of consciousness,farmers are mobilized to participate in community livelihood development by organizing village meetings,discovering and training community leaders,and establishing pepper industry organizations,so as to build a platform for mutual assistance and cooperation among villagers and deepen the status of farmers as the mainstay of livelihood development.(2)At the technical level,by making full use of the industrial resources and human resources in the community,a technical training team was formed to help the team members familiarize themselves with product-related knowledge and learn communication skills to strengthen the team members' awareness and sense of familiarity with the product.And then improve its product sales capabilities.(3)At the market level,by building urban-rural cooperation bridges,learning e-commerce sales skills,looking for physical business cooperation offline,increasing e-commerce sales entities online to broaden product sales channels,increase product sales,and realize farmers' self-production and self-sales.The involvement of social work in the sustainable development of rural livelihoods is a long-term practical process,and the problems and needs expressed by the community in the process of intervention are also complex and diverse.Reflecting on the practical process of social work involved in the livelihood development of the Yanhe Village community.If only a short-term intervention and a single community work method can not achieve results,take root in the community,community assets-based,farmers as the main body,and integrated social work The method has its significance.This research has only made preliminary attempts and explorations in Yanhe Village.It has its own limitations and particularities.Social work to promote the sustainable development of rural communities' livelihoods requires more social workers to devote themselves to practice.
