With the rapid development of our society,the continuous improvement of people's living standards,the transfer of major domestic contradictions,and the gradual changes in the people's main needs and social structure,in order to respond to social needs and build a harmonious society,the state has put forward the goal of innovative social management.As an important part of innovative social management,the development of the social work industry was written into the government work report in 2015,and the development of the social work industry ushered in spring.In the 1980 s,the social work education of China was restored.The social work master's degree program was established in 2009.The scale of social work professional education is continuously expanding,and a large number of high-end talents have been cultivated for the social work industry.However,the current employment rate of social work professions is low,and a large number of social work professionals are drained,which has caused a great obstacle to the development of the social work industry.In this context,the researcher determined the topic of this research.Through the review and combing the relevant research literature,the research plan of this study was formulated: using a combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods.The research conducted a questionnaire survey among eight graduates of a master's degree in social work from a university in Chongqing from 2012 to 2019,and selected interviewees for unstructured interviews based on relevant factors to obtain research data.Then the research processes the questionnaire data via SPSS software,and analyze the employment status and influencing factors of the social work masters.Combining the results of the analysis,researcher proposes countermeasures to increase the counterpart employment rate of social work master.Regarding the employment status,from the overall point of view,the employment status of the graduates of the social work master is good:it turns out high employment rate,high job satisfaction,relatively even industry distribution,significant differences in job satisfaction among social work masters who work in different industries.,and at the same time,low counterpart employment rate and strong occupational mobility.From the perspective of employment in the social work industry,there are fewer graduates engaged in the social work industry.As for employment influencing factors,researcher analyzes the factors that affect the career choices of social work graduates from the perspectives of individuals and structures.The structural factors are divided into family structure and social structure.Among the family structure factors,family location,parents ' health status,career expectations from family and economic status have a huge impact on the career selection of social work masters.There are significant differences in the influence of some family structure factors on different age,nationality,graduation year,marital status and political status of social work graduates(p<0.05).In the social structure,the benefits and wage of a post are the primary factor considered when choosing a job for a social work graduate.At the same time,the social identity,stability,pressure of the job,and the development prospects and promotion space of the industry also have a great impact on the career choice of social work masters.There are significant differences in the degree of influence of some social structure factors on different ages,nationalities,year of graduation and registered permanent residence(p<0.05).Among the individual factors,an individual's career choice pays more attention to personal industry preference and occupational identity.The job regional preference will also affect the career choice of social work mater.There were significant differences in the influence of some individual factors on the degree of social work master students with different ages,nationalities,graduation years and marital status(p<0.05).Regarding the factors that affect the employment of Social Work Master in this major,from the perspective of individual factors,education motivation,individual industry preferences,and self-competence evaluation have an important impact.From the perspective of structural factors,poor judgments on the short-term development prospects of the major,low industry salaries and low professional social recognition are important reasons why the Social Work Master does not choose to work in their major.Based on the above analysis,the research put forward the following suggestions to improve the current situation of the brain drain of social work professionals and increase counterpart employment rate.First,reform the education system: extend the school system and focus on practical training.Second,improve the social work legal system to promote diversity of social work positions.Thirdly,establish a social work incentive mechanism to improve social worker's benefits.Fourthly,increase social support,social awareness and recognition of social work.
