Chinese Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2011)points out that Chinese curriculum is a comprehensive and practical course that teaches students to use language.It indicates that the main objective and content of Chinese curriculum is to cultivate ability of using language.In the compiling system of Chinese teaching materials,the exercise system is the "place" which exclusively gets students to use language,and it can boost the formation and development of students' Chinese ability.Also,it can promote all-round improvements to Chinese literacy.Narration plays a cornerstone role in the formation of students' Chinese ability.To cultivate students' Chinese ability,we should usually start with narrative and then gradually change to other styles.Both the increase of students' knowledge and the improvement of students' ability are progressive process.As the cornerstone of students' Chinese ability,the training of narrative reading ability must be put into practice in teaching.Based on the importance of exercise system and narrative that develop students' Chinese ability,this thesis mainly adopts the research methods of literature analysis,text analysis,questionnaire and interview to study the current situation and teaching strategies of exercise system of Chinese narrative compiled by the Ministry of Education.It is expected to help teachers and students effectively use the exercise system,improve students' reading ability of narrative,and comprehensively improve students' Chinese literacy by putting forward some feasible teaching strategies.This paper is divided into four parts:The first part: preface.This part includes the origin of the study,the purpose and significance of the study,relevant concepts,research status,research methods and innovations.The second part: the basic situation of narrative exercises system of at junior high school.It mainly carries on research to following five aspects.Firstly it analyzes the compiled concepts of the exercises system of Chinese narrative at junior high school,which is compiled by the Ministry of Education.It analyzes its writing idea from two dimensions--putting people first and attaching great importance to Chinese core literacy.Secondly,it puts knowledge types of the exercises system of narrative selections in order,which uses Han Xueping's knowledge category theory,including humane knowledge,declarative knowledge,procedural knowledge and Chinese thinking knowledge.Thirdly,the six-level reading ability system constructed by Zhu Xinhua is used to sort out the reading ability levels of the exercise system of the narrative selections.Fourthly,it analyzes the "instructional" design of the narrative exercise system of junior Chinese Textbook compiled by Ministry of Education.Fifthly,it puts forward the inadequacy in design of the narrative exercises of junior Chinese Textbook compiled by Ministry of Education.The third part: the current situation of the application of the narrative exercises system of junior Chinese Textbook compiled by Ministry of Education.The part mainly investigates the teachers and students' application of the narrative exercise system in practical teaching by separately designing teachers' questionnaire and students' questionnaire,and combining with individual interview.The results reveal that whether teachers,students or the writing and design of exercises system,they are advantages and disadvantages in the practical use of the exercises system.The fourth part: the teaching strategies of the Chinese narrative exercises system of junior Chinese Textbook compiled by Ministry of Education.This part comes up with application strategy from teaches' point of view and students' point of view.Teachers need to construct the cognitive system of Chinese knowledge and the level of reading ability;Pay attention to the guidance of operational methods.First of all,teachers integrate and supplement the procedural knowledge in advance by combining the unit guide with the preview before class.Secondly,according to the students' learning situation,teachers supplement the procedural knowledge in time as students finish the exercise.Moreover,teachers set up exercise system evaluation system,pay attention to the diversity of evaluation subjects,and establish detailed rules of evaluation standards.In addition,students should focus upon the tips of exercises after class when preparing lesson before class;attach importance to group cooperation in the learning process and summarize methods.The fifth part: Conclusion.This part mainly summarizes and reflects on the above research in the paper and puts forward the shortcomings of this research.
