With the release of a series of documents,such as the Outline of National Tourism and Leisure(2013-2020)and the Opinions on Promoting Study Travel for Primary and Secondary School Students,research travel has gradually come into public view and received widespread attention.Primary and secondary schools have also responded to national policies and started to try research travel actively.Geography,as a subject that studies geographical environment and the relationship between human activities and geographical environment,has unique advantages in carrying out research travel.With the publication of the Geography Curriculum Standards for General Senior High Schools(2017 Edition),geography research travel has been endowed with strong expectations to cultivate the practical ability of geography,and has become an important way to implement the fundamental educational task of "moral education and people cultivation",and to cultivate students' core literacy in geography.As the first step in the development of geography research travel,the design of geography research travel route is the key to the carry out the high-quality geography research travel smoothly.The study takes the research travel route design of middle school geography as the research topic.Based on the qualitative research method,this study makes a case study on the route design scheme of "walking geography",a high-quality middle school geography research travel course in Chongqing.Relying on the interview with route designers,this study explores the concept,method,dilemma and outlet of the middle school front-line geography teachers in designing the research travel route.According to the research logic of "practice-theory-practice",this study extracts operational theories from practical wisdom,and designs a research route with the theme of "looking for mountains and asking for water" under the guidance of theories.The specific research results are as follows:(1)The study selects nine representative route design schemes from eighteen cases named "walking geography",and analyzes the schemes from three aspects: research theme,research content and research location.The conclusions are as follows: Firstly,there are two kinds of research themes,single and comprehensive,each with its own advantages,and both emphasize the artistry of the title.Secondly,the research content should lead the growth of comprehensive thinking and help the cultivation of geographical practical ability.Thirdly,the development of resources should pay attention to regional characteristics,rely on human culture,under the principle of practical accessibility,based on richness and diversity,and combine with intuition and freshness,universality and particularity.(2)On the basis of case analysis,the study conducted a semi-structured interview with the route designer,taking the route design process of geography research travel as the main line,the secondary line is the development of middle school geography research travel.By sorting out the interview records,the inspirations of research route design in research resources,research content,design process and designers are extracted.First,research resources should be rooted in local areas.Second,the content of research should be developed flexibly,relying on textbooks,and based on truth and science.Third,the route design should follow the process of "finding resources-investigating resources-determining routes-setting content".Fourth,teachers' professional quality of geography is crucial to the development of research routes.(3)Based on case analysis and interview research,the study puts forward the basic principles of research route design,including the selection of research resources which follow the principles of regional characteristics,connotation,accessibility,agglomeration,intuition and representativeness,and the setting of research contents should follow the principles of science,comprehensiveness and practice.At the same time,this study also puts forward the design process of middle school geography research travel route.First,collect resources and find inspiration.Second,inspect the resources and determine the route.Third,draw up the theme according to the resources.Fourth,analyze the academic situation and clarify the goal.Fifth,refer to the teaching material and set the content.Sixth,inspect and optimize the route.Besides,according to the proposed route design process,this study takes sophomores of high school affiliated to Southwest University as the main participants,and designs a geography research travel route with the theme of "looking for mountains and asking for water" : Ma'anxi Wetland Park-North Hot Spring Park-Jinyun Mountain,which preliminarily verifies the rationality and practicability of the proposed route design process.
