As socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era,high-quality development has become an important feature and development goal of the socialist cause in the new era.Education,as a social activity,is deeply affected by economic and social development,and also faces the challenge of how to adapt to and achieve high-quality development.At the same time,the people's demand for education gradually changed from "have a chance to learning" to "get a good education",and more and more attention was paid to the pursuit of high-quality education and quality education,which also promoted the reform of education development mode and paid more attention to the connotation development and quality improvement of education.School is an important responsibility subject in the development of education,and should play a key role in the process of promoting high-quality development of education,stimulate the vitality of running schools,improve the effect of education and teaching,and promote the improvement of education quality.School characteristics construction take the school as the main body,fully excavate and make use of the school itself is unique,and as a basis,our school autonomy and initiative,to promote the development of students and school quality improvement,make the school to connotative development way,gradually narrowing and other schools of education quality gap between,is an effective way to promote school reform and development.Meixiang Middle School is vigorously promoting the construction of school characteristics and has achieved some results.This paper selects the school as the object of investigation to investigate its characteristic construction and educational development,which has certain representativeness and typicality.In the process of characteristic construction,Meixiang Middle School has gradually formed the characteristic system of "casting the soul in red,building the dream in green,and growing up in gold".Based on the spirit of the founder and old principal,the school carries out moral education characteristic construction and creates "red" characteristics.Relying on the regional advantages of the school,it inherits the skills of Panza with characteristic courses and community activities,and vigorously constructs the "green" characteristics.While paying attention to cultural courses,it also vigorously develops science and technology innovation education,fully explores students' potential in art and sports,implements quality-oriented education,assists students' personalized development,and realizes students' "golden" growth.In the process of characteristic construction of the school,Meixiang Middle School relies on its tradition and regional advantages,takes courses and associations as the main carrier,introduces high-quality expert team,pays attention to the combination with the regional economic and social development,and strengthens school-enterprise cooperation and home-school connection.It can promote students' behavior habits,spiritual outlook,personalized development and all-round development,enhance teachers and students' confidence and sense of self-identity,and improve the educational effect and image of the school.But at the same time,there are still some shortcomings in the characteristic construction of Meixiang Middle School,such as the limited participation of students,the shortcomings in the construction of school teachers,and the lack of specific and effective evaluation mechanism of school characteristics.These problems affect the further development of the school.The characteristic construction of schools should adhere to the development concept of "taking measures according to local conditions".In the process of construction,three principles should be adhered to,that is,the combination of education and production labor,based on the completion of education and teaching objectives,and on the premise of satisfying the comprehensive development of students.Starting from the external and internal aspects of the school characteristics construction,on the one hand to create a good external atmosphere,the government reasonable formulation of relevant policies,to provide material guarantee and support;Increase autonomy in running schools;Encourage parent involvement.On the other hand,coordinate and optimize the internal elements,including the principal,teachers,students and other school subjects to perform their duties and do their best;Fully excavate and develop characteristic resources;Create characteristic campus culture;Based on the actual development of characteristic school-based curriculum;Perfecting the evaluation mechanism of school characteristics;Establish incentives.
