A Research On The Perspective Of Social Support About The Difficulties Of Stress Relief For Elderly-support-disabled Family Caregivers

As a vulnerable group in the society,the disabled have always been concerned.The caregives,have the main responsibility of the disabled,can't be ignored.The elderly-support-disabled family caregivers(hereinafter referred to as caregivers),as the special part of the groups,they have to undergo more pressure difficulties than the other groups.So my research,which take the disabled persons' service in guangzhou as investigated subject,and take social support as theory basis,analyse the stress in different kinds of elderly-support-disabled family and the situation of social support by the methods of participatory observation,semi-structured interviews and case study,explore the difficulties about stress relief in social support.Finally,the author propose the improvement strategy of difficulties in elderly-support-disabled family caregivers.Throughout the research,we find that: First of all,the particularity of elderly-support-disabled family caregivers makes their pressure diversion different.Elderly-support-disabled family caregivers have to undergo physical,economic,gam,psychological,generation and multiple stress interaction pressure.Each elderly-support-disabled family caregiver has special experience and social network,the author thinks that social work practice needs individualized intervention,and believes that the physical stress of couple types needs to be emphasized,what they mostly need is the services to relieve their physical stress;The physiological and intergeneration stress of parent-child type is an urgent problem.Similarly,to the comprehensive type,the psychological and intergenerational stress is the most urgent.But unlike parent-child type,the stress is more on the replace caregivers.In addition,although there are many formal and informal social support from the social ecoecosystem,it isn't difficult to find that these social support are fragmented,which can not response the special demands of each elderly-support-disabled family caregiver well.It makes the social support intervention in caregiver pressure ineffective,the caregivers still bear the responsibility of caring of the disabled and a heavy burden of pressure.The stress type and cause of each caregiver are not consistent,if the social support wants to play a role in the stress relief,it needs to intervene in personalization mean to relieve the pressure of caregiver effectively and avoid the situation of short service supply in the supply and demand.Finally,the social support dilemma of elderly-support-disabled family caregivers will have a negative impact on stress.:Internal distress makes social support intervention and stress diversion difficult;Lack of adequate family relative support poses the risk of disruption;and the lack of sustainable social support will increases caregivers ' stress distress.
