With the deepening of the reform of Chinese teaching,the whole book reading teaching has gradually become a hot topic in the study of Chinese in recent years.However,as a key period of children's reading,the research on the whole book reading related to the senior grade of primary school is somewhat lacking.Fiction is the most recommended literary style for the whole book reading of the senior grade in primary school,but there are few researches related to the whole book reading of the senior grade in primary school.At the same time,in the first-line teaching,the current situation of reading novels is not ideal.Based on this,this study selects the senior grade of primary school as the specific study section,takes the whole novel as the teaching material,and puts forward corresponding teaching strategies in view of the prominent problems in the reading teaching of the whole book of novels for the senior grade of primary school.This paper is divided into six parts to discuss the current situation and teaching strategies of the whole novel reading teaching for senior primary school students.The introduction mainly elaborates the research background,literature review,research significance and research methods.The second part mainly clarifies the basic concepts related to the teaching of reading the whole book of novels for senior primary school students and clarifies the theoretical basis related to this research.The third part elaborates the present situation of the whole book reading of the novels of the senior pupils and the teaching of the whole book reading of the teachers,combing out the outstanding problems.The fourth part aims at the prominent problems existing in the whole book reading of the novels of the senior pupils and the teaching of the whole book reading of the teachers,and puts forward the corresponding teaching strategies.They are to establish the target system of the whole novel reading teaching for the senior grade of primary school,to select the teaching content corresponding to the teaching target,to update the teaching class type of the whole novel reading for the senior grade of primary school,to optimize the extracurricular guidance of the whole novel reading for the senior grade of primary school,and to construct an evaluation system to promote the development of senior pupils.In the aspect of updating the teaching type of reading for the whole book of high level novels in primary schools,five teaching types are put forward,including guidance class,problem solving class,reading instruction class,appreciation class and achievement report class.The fifth part,taking “Grass House” as an example,carries on the school-based teaching design of the novel reading of the whole book for senior primary school students,and applies the teaching suggestions to the teaching design of the novel reading of the whole book.The last part is the conclusion,which summarizes the viewpoints of this paper and explains the shortcomings of this study.In this study,it is believed that the research on teaching strategies for reading novels throughout the whole book improves the teaching efficiency of front-line teachers and helps them promote the teaching of reading novels throughout the whole book.It is helpful to stimulate the reading interest of high grade pupils,cultivate good reading habits of high grade pupils and improve their reading ability.
