With the development of the times and the reform of curriculum,modern education advocates that we should fully implement the Party's educational policy,carry out the fundamental task of building morality and educating people,develop quality education,promote education equity,and train socialist builders and successors with all-round development of morality,intelligence,beauty and labor.At the same time,with the implementation of the new curriculum standards,simply focusing on the cultivation of students' basic biological skills and basic knowledge can no longer meet the requirements of cultivating core literacy in the new period.As an important way to cultivate students' all-round and harmonious development,extracurricular activities play a more important role in the curriculum.In this paper,through literature research,combing the relevant literature,it is found that the current situation of junior high school biology extracurricular activities is not optimistic.At present,there are few researches on extra-curricular activities of biology on a certain subject.Therefore,in order to enrich the types of extracurricular activities in biology,during the internship,taking the internship middle school as an example,and investigated and summarized the current situation of extracurricular activities in biology by questionnaire and interview,so as to provide a realistic basis for carrying out extracurricular activities in marine animals.At last,a comprehensive practical study was carried out on the extracurricular activities of biology with the theme of marine animals by case analysis,in order to explore the best strategy for extracurricular activities of biology and provide new ideas for teachers to carry out extracurricular activities of biology in the future.Under the theme of marine animals,according to students' cognitive characteristics and their original knowledge base,according to the basic principles of carrying out extracurricular activities and the process of carrying out extracurricular activities on marine animals,Some marine animal-themed extracurricular activities have been designed and implemented,such as sunflower-sea anemone extracurricular activities,marine vertebrate-fish extracurricular activities,Extracurricular activities of marine shellfish,the second largest family member in the animal world,marine animals-friends of human beings,etc.Through the reflection on the implementation effect of these extracurricular activities,the evaluation of students' self-growth after attending extracurricular activities and the evaluation of teachers' implementation effect of extracurricular activities,this paper summarizes the countermeasures and suggestions for the implementation of extracurricular activities.Hope to give reference to teachers who carry out extracurricular activities in the future.The research results show that the extracurricular activities of junior high school biology with marine animal theme have a significant positive impact on students.Students' interest in biology is obviously improved,the learning atmosphere in biology class is more enthusiastic,and the communication with teachers after class is more frequent.At the same time,students' observation ability,hands-on operation ability,expression and communication ability and team cooperation ability have also been greatly improved.Secondly,through the design and practice of cases,the organization and implementation process of extracurricular activities are constantly explored,and the countermeasures and suggestions for developing extracurricular activities of marine animal subject biology are summarized,which can be used for reference by later researchers.Finally,through the combination of junior high school biology extracurricular activities and marine animals,the richness of biology extracurricular activities is increased,and students' campus life is more colorful.Moreover,the extracurricular activities of biology with the theme of marine animals are highly consistent with the concept of the core literacy of biology in junior middle schools,and students' scientific inquiry ability,scientific thinking ability,life concept and social responsibility have been improved.After one semester's practical research,the necessity of carrying out extracurricular activities in biology has been demonstrated,but there are also some shortcomings: one study focuses on marine animals,and combines junior high school biology to design and implement extracurricular activities.There are many kinds of marine animals,including the largest family of arthropods,the second largest family of mollusks in the animal world,as well as fish,marine zooplankton,benthos and so on.In this study,due to the limitations of various factors,several small marine animals which are common in the seaside are selected for extracurricular activities in biology.Second,in this study,the extracurricular activities are mainly carried out by the eighth-grade students.In addition,the eighth-grade students have great learning pressure,short learning time and limited extracurricular activities,so four representative extracurricular activities have been carried out,and the scope involved is relatively concentrated.Third,the extracurricular activities of biology in junior high school with marine animals as the theme are carried out in this study,and the extracurricular activities of biology include the second class,campus festivals,comprehensive practice,project research and other activities.The types of biology extracurricular activities are mainly concentrated in biology skills,biology experiments,practical biology and special research.The special studies are mainly environmental education,health education and safety education.However,there are relatively few researches on the extracurricular activities of marine animals,which can be used for reference.
