A new round of curriculum reform is in full swing.A new educational philosophy that adheres to the development of students and promotes the transformation of subject logic to life logic has been widely recognized by all sectors of society.The course named "Morality and Rule of Law " as a key one to the nature of moral education in junior middle school plays a crucial role in cultivating students with moral characters,mental healths,the concept of rule of law,national consciousness,political identity while enhancing international understandings of students and realizing their life values by helping them to build a positive and healthy lifestyle.The way of how to infiltrate students’ moral education and cultivate core literacy while stimulating interest and imparting knowledge is a key issue that the teachers of the "Morality and Rule of Law" course should carefully think of and focus on.The reform of teaching methods is imperative.As a teaching method adapted to the new teaching concept,the situational teaching method advocates that students should be interest-driven,encouraging them to find familiar scenes in life.By creating scenes related to a contextualized teaching content,students are able to be brought into a three-dimensional perspective.In the context of life,it helps students to develop a good emotional state,strengthen their emotional feelings,and stimulate their curiosity and thirst for knowledges,and guide them to explore the knowledge contained in life from multiple angles that will enhance their abilities of thinking and creativity to make sure the core literacy of the subject would have been implemented.Based on the current research on the situational teaching method used in the "Ethics and Rule of Law" course,this essay aims to find out the problems that exist in the application of the course,reveal reasons and propose possibly optimizing strategy to improve the actual effects of the situational teaching method.This essay contains five chapters in total.The introduction chapter mainly presents and introduces the context of the research topic,research significance,Chinese and Western literature review,key research questions,and methodologies,etc.The second chapter is about the relevant theories of the situational teaching method used in the "Morality and Rule of Law" course.The third chapter is about the status quo of the situational teaching method used in the "Morality and Rule of Law" course in junior middle school.The application of the situational teaching method inspires the passions of students to the "Morality and Rule of Law" course,increases their participation during the class,and promotes their creativities.The actual effects of classroom teaching have been improved as well because of the application of the new teaching method.However,false situations still remain as problems in the application process of the method,which reduces the experience feelings of students.Moreover,creating such a slightly scattered situation may downplay the real classroom theme in teaching.The fourth chapter is the analysis of the main problems of application of the situational teaching method in the "Morality and Rule of Law" course.Chapter 5 addresses the existed problems and propose a possible optimization strategy for the use of situational teaching in the "Morality and Rule of Law" course.Teachers should build the new concept on situational teaching by learning knowledge of the situational teaching method,improve teaching procedures in the classroom,optimize situational teaching processes,and create an active atmosphere to increase interactions with students to enhance their inner experiences.Moreover,schools should strengthen cooperations research and develop more resources for situational teaching.Students should change learning concepts and increase their active participation in situational classrooms.
