Primary school science curriculum is one of the contents of the new round of curriculum reform in China.The 2017 edition of "Primary School Science Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education" issued by China points out that primary school science is a comprehensive practice curriculum,which focuses on inquiry activities and relies on daily life to create a real life situation.This is consistent with the interdisciplinary,situational,practical and other characteristics of STEAM education concept.In addition,the interdisciplinary and situational characteristics of STEAM education concept are also in line with the needs of science teaching in primary schools in China,providing new teaching models and strategies for primary science teaching.In this study,STEAM education concept is blended in primary school science,and sum up experience to provide reference for front-line teacher to design relevant content.This study mainly using questionnaire survey,classroom observation and experimental.Firstly,conducted around the topic of the thesis by literature reading and sorting.Through in-depth reading and analysis of relevant literature on STEAM education at home and abroad,the connotation and characteristics of STEAM education concept are interpreted,and the research status of STEAM education at home and abroad as well as the reference and learning of existing practical experience in STEAM teaching are clarified.Secondly,by analyzing the problems in the process of primary school science teaching,the changes of primary school science curriculum standards and the changes of teaching material content in primary school science,the feasibility and necessity of integrating STEAM education concept into primary school science teaching are discussed.Then the characteristics of 5E teaching mode and STEAM education concept are analyzed to build a primary school science teaching design model based on STEAM education concept.And teach edition of science grade five in a unit of "light" "light and shadow","the shadow of the sun","make a sundial" three classes,the experimental method is adopted on the specific teaching design and practice,through questionnaire survey,evaluation of the teaching process based on traditional education idea and STEAM respectively education idea effect of primary school science teaching practice,this paper compares and analyzes based on STEAM to verify education concept of interoperability and effectiveness of primary school science teaching design model.Finally draw the conclusion: STEAM based education concept of primary school science teaching design model is conducive to the implementation of the process evaluation and many kinds of teaching evaluation,is advantageous to the interdisciplinary and multidimensional goals to achieve,through questionnaire survey,the teaching process evaluation found that practice effects are significant,it can cultivate students’ interdisciplinary thinking and enhance their comprehensive problem-solving ability.There are four principles to be followed in the integration of STEAM educational concepts into primary school science teaching.Moreover,for different types of inquiry courses,the integration of STEAM educational concepts has different emphases.
