The integration of STEAM education concept into primary school science teaching helps to maintain pupils' strong curiosity and curiosity,stimulate students' interest in learning science,improve students' participation and concentration in learning,and provide reference cases for first-line science teachers.To help first-line teachers find the growth point of STEAM education and primary school science,and optimize the design and practice of primary school science teaching based on STEAM education.This study is based on the design thinking learning model,constructivism theory and student activity-centered teaching design theory,combing a large number of primary school science teaching design related documents based on the concept of STEAM education,and on the 2017 edition of "compulsory education primary school science curriculum standards" in-depth interpretation,This paper discusses the cross-disciplinary,situational,collaborative and experiential characteristics of primary school science teaching design based on STEAM education concept.After that,through the questionnaire and interview method,we go deep into Yinchuan Y primary school to carry out the investigation and research,aiming at the problems that the teaching design idea can not keep pace with the times,the teaching goal emphasizes the acquisition of knowledge and skills,the teaching process neglects the students' learning experience,the teaching method neglects the experiment and inquiry,and the teaching evaluation method is relatively single.At the same time,the current situation of science teaching in primary schools under the concept of STEAM education is deeply analyzed.Taking openness,development,integration,inquiry and diversification as the principles of science teaching design in primary schools under the concept of STEAM education,the basic framework of science teaching design in primary schools is constructed from five aspects:teaching objectives,teaching methods,learning activities,teacher-student roles and teaching evaluation.After that,the design and practice of primary school science teaching based on the concept of STEAM education are carried out with the theme of "magic insulation cup" as the theme.Through the analysis of the effect of teaching implementation,it is found that students can understand and master the scientific knowledge related to heat,and can choose the appropriate materials to make and beautify according to the different functions of the insulation cup designed by themselves.At the same time,it is found that the teaching of primary school science based on the concept of STEAM education can stimulate students' interest in learning and exploring scientific knowledge,help students to establish a good attitude towards learning scientific knowledge,cultivate students' awareness of caring for the environment and improve students'awareness of social responsibility.To better optimize the effect of science teaching in primary schools under the concept of STEAM education,this paper puts forward some suggestions for science teaching in primary schools based on the concept of STEAM education.
