The reminiscential prose,as a small branch of the prose,has many selected articles in the Chinese textbooks for junior high schools compiled by the Ministry of Education.It is an important part of reading teaching for junior high schools because of its characteristics of classics,diversification of themes and applicability of selected articles.Therefore,it is necessary to take the teaching of the reminiscential prose in the Chinese textbooks of junior middle school compiled by the Ministry of Education as the research object,to explore its teaching values and to optimize its teaching strategies.Based on the analysis of the existing research results,it can be concluded that the retrospective perspective and the experiential perspective are used to express the dual emotions of the reminiscential prose,which embodies the integration of emotion and the reason in the process of fragmentary narrative.Through the questionnaire survey and the teacher interview,it is found that there are still the following problems in the teaching of reminiscential prose in this edition of the textbook.Students have a vague grasp of the stylistic features of the reminiscential prose.Students are lacking in understanding of its narrative perspective and emotion,and initiative in its learning.Teachers have a single way of teaching the reminiscential prose.Accordingly,the teacher should strengthen the preview instruction to the student,enhance the study initiative: using varieties of reading methods to analyze the emotional connotation,grasping the perspective of dual narration and stimulating rational reflection.To some extent,it can help students broaden their reading horizons,enrich their life experiences,deepen their emotional experiences,promote their thinking maturity,improve their writing skills,and maximize the teaching value of the recalling prose.
