The sense of number is first explicitly proposed in 2001 edition of the ?full-time compulsory education mathematics curriculum standard ?(experimental draft).In2011,the mathematics curriculum standard of compulsory education issued in China once again emphasized the importance of sense of number and became the first of ten core literacy.The sense of number plays a vital role in mathematics learning,and it is the basis of learning mathematics well.Through the investigation and research of students' sense of number,it can help teachers understand the current situation of students' sense of number,better guide education and teaching,and promote the development of students' sense of number and the improvement of mathematics level.In this study,A,B and C junior high schools in Qingdao were investigated.Firstly,the development status of seventh grade students' number sense was investigated through the number sense test paper,and the overall level of seventh grade students' number sense in three different urban and rural schools was analyzed by using spss.21 software.In view of the current situation of the number sense of the seventh grade students,this paper analyzes the problems and reasons of the students,and puts forward some feasible suggestions for the cultivation of the number sense of the seventh grade students from the two aspects of teachers and students.The main research questions are: the connotation and composition of number sense;the seventh grade students' number sense level;the influencing factors of the number sense level of the seventh grade students were analyzed;suggestions on the cultivation of seventh grade students' sense of number.The main methods used in this study are: to fully understand the research status of number sense through literature analysis.It provides the basis for the research of this paper.Through the questionnaire survey method to test the seventh grade students,using SPSS.21 software to sort out and analyze the test results.Through the interview method to understand the thinking process of students in solving problems and the teaching methods of teachers in teaching the content of number sense.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)On the whole,the total average score of the seventh grade students in Qingdao is good,the development of number sense is not balanced,and the level of number sense needs to be improved.(2)There is a strong correlation between the scores of the seventh grade students in the six aspects of number sense.There is no significant difference in gender in the overall level of number sense.There is a significant positive correlation between the number sense level and the number learning interest as well as mathematics achievement.The more developed the economy is,the higher the number sense level of students is.Through the research,the factors that affect the development of the seventh grade students' sense of number are mainly as follows: the students' mathematical view;emphasis on formal training,light on substance understanding;paying too much attention to symbolic representation;lack of the ability to choose appropriate strategies to solve problems;serious problems in the cultivation of students' sense of number in rural schools.According to the factors that affect the development of students' number sense,six suggestions are put forward: to strengthen students' understanding of the concept of logarithm;pay attention to students' understanding of the meaning and function of estimation;pay attention to the teaching of flexible choice of mathematical strategies to solve problems;mobilize the enthusiasm of students to participate in the classroom;mathematics teachers should have the ability to guide students to re create;efforts should be made to improve the number sense level of rural school students.
