With the implementation of the 2017 primary school science curriculum standard for compulsory education,developing "scientific thinking" in students' core literacy has become an important task to contribute to science education.Family is not only the original environment for human life breeding and individual growth,but also an important link for human cognition and individual development.It is an important place for children to form habits and grow into talents.Parents are children's Enlightenment teachers and play a vital role in the formation stage of children's scientific thinking.In order to promote the formation of children's scientific thinking in the primary school stage of compulsory education,it is of far-reaching significance for the full implementation of the strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education and strengthening the country with talents,cultivating innovative talents and ensuring that China is in an invincible position in the fierce international competition.Based on the theory of family cultural capital,this study attempts to analyze the relationship between family cultural capital and primary school students' scientific thinking.The researcher takes the fifth and sixth grade students of eight primary schools in Chengdu and six student families participating in the questionnaire survey as the research object,and uses the methods of questionnaire survey and interview to study from the two aspects of students and parents.Through the data,this paper analyzes the current situation of subjects' family cultural capital and scientific thinking,analyzes the correlation between them and their dimensions,and then establishes a regression model to analyze the impact of family cultural capital on Pupils' scientific thinking.Six families with representative questionnaire survey results are selected for interviews to corroborate and supplement the results of quantitative research.Through systematic analysis,this study found that: the family cultural capital of private school students is higher than that of public school students;Boys' scientific thinking and all dimensions of scientific thinking are higher than girls;There is a significant positive correlation between family cultural capital and pupils' scientific thinking and its dimensions;Family cultural capital has a significant impact on Pupils' scientific thinking;Physical cultural capital and objective cultural capital have a significant impact on scientific thinking;Institutionalized cultural capital has no significant impact on scientific thinking.According to the conclusion,some suggestions are put forward from the family level,society and school level: pay attention to the influence of family cultural capital on Pupils' scientific thinking;Optimize the allocation of family resources and enrich family cultural capital;Family members improve their cultural literacy and family cultural atmosphere;The school pays attention to the differences of students' family cultural capital and implements classified guidance;Strengthen communication with students' parents and jointly promote home school education.
