First of all,the importance of mathematics textbooks is unquestionable at the international or national level;secondly,my country's policies and mathematics curriculum standards constantly reflect the needs and requirements of openness to contemporary students.Based on the above two backgrounds, this paper takes the 12 mathematics textbooks of the People's Education Edition and the Suzhou Science Edition as the research objects.Through the method of literature analysis, text analysis and comparative research, according to the two lines of grade and four major themes,to explore and analyze the two junior high school mathematics textbooks. The distribution of open questions in the edition textbooks(the total number of open-ended questions, style location, type, and background settings),and from this, some suggestions for designing open-ended questions are put forward. The main conclusions of both versions are roughly the same:(1)Grade point of view:The number of open-ended questions in each grade shows a downward trend, and the proportion of the People's Education Edition in the total number of questions in each grade also shows a downward trend, while the Suzhou Science Edition fluctuates;the overall number of open questions in each grade and style is on the decline trend, and the proportion of the questions in each style and position of each grade is different, among which the practice questions are the most important question types;but strategy and conclusion open-ended questions are the most important types;the number of questions and the order of weighting of open-ended questions in different grades are not relatively consistent, but they are mainly without background, and there are very few scientific situations.(2)theme point of view:The proportion of open-ended questions in each theme to the total number of questions in each theme is unevenly distributed, but graphics and algebra are the main sections of the number of open-ended questions;the number of questions in each theme and style and location is related to the total number of questions in each theme. The proportions of each theme are not relatively consistent, and the proportions of example questions and practice questions are lower than their respective average levels;the number of open-ended question types and background settings for each theme are different from their proportion distribution.
