| Due to the aging of the population,the society pays more and more attention to the problem of providing for the aged.For the elderly in rural nursing homes in a town of N county,there is still a lack of spiritual life when the material life is basically satisfied.Combining social work theory with practice,this study aims at bringing peer groups into the social support system of spiritual comfort for the elderly in rural nursing homes in N county,aiming at meeting the spiritual needs of the elderly,perfecting the social support system of spiritual comfort for the elderly and improving their spiritual living standards through group activities.In this paper,the elderly in a rural nursing home in N county are taken as the research object.Firstly,the research methods of questionnaire survey,unstructured interview and participatory observation are used to collect data,and through the data,the present situation and problems of spiritual comfort and peer-to-peer assistance of the elderly in a rural nursing home in N county are analyzed.Then,according to the factors that affect the degree of social support,that is,personal factors,development factors and environmental factors,the reasons for the problems of spiritual comfort and peer-to-peer assistance of the elderly in this rural nursing home are analyzed.After that,under the guidance of social support theory,cognitive behavior theory and empowerment theory,practical activities are carried out,and mutual aid groups are established.By intervening in three aspects: individual,development and environment,the elderly are helped to establish spiritual comfort peer-to-peer mutual assistance relationship and improve the social support system for spiritual comfort.After the end of the activity,the process and results of the activity were evaluated.Although there were some problems in the activity,the activity as a whole did have a positive impact on the spiritual comfort of the group members and the mutual assistance of their peers,and the goal of the group work was basically achieved.Finally,social workers summarize and reflect on the process of research and group work intervention,hoping to provide practical experience for the spiritual comfort of the elderly in the same type of rural nursing homes. |
