Research On The Work Status And Improvement Strategies Of Junior High School Deputy Teachers As Class Teachers ——A Case Study Of Taiyuan J Experimental Middle School

Class teachers play an important role in promoting the all-round development of students.The all-round development of junior high school students is inseparable from the special guidance of the class teacher.Under the background of the "double reduction" policy,all schools need to combine the requirements of the new era policy,comprehensively implement the educational concept of curriculum reform,implement the basic responsibilities of Morality Education,improve the work effectiveness of junior high school class teachers,and strengthen the construction of class teacher teams.In reality,most of the class teachers are served by the main subject teachers,and a very small number of deputy subject teachers serve as class teachers,coupled with social pressure and parental opposition,making it difficult for the deputy subject teachers to carry out their work smoothly after serving as the class teacher,and the deputy subject teachers themselves also show the characteristics of few management opportunities and slow improvement.This study selected the junior high school class teacher and junior high school students of Taiyuan J Experimental Middle School as the research objects,combined with literature analysis,according to the theory of professional learning community and the theory of teachers’ professional development,as well as the policy documents of the "Regulations on the Work of Primary and Secondary School Class Teachers",compiled the "Questionnaire on the Work Status of Class Teachers" and "Questionnaire of Class Teachers in the Hearts of Students",conducted more in-depth research on the views of the main and deputy class teachers and the students in the class they led,and conducted in-depth interviews with the four main and deputy teachers who have been engaged in the work of the class teacher for many years.The results showed that the deputy teachers of J Experimental Middle School had less pressure to go to school,lighter teaching tasks,had the energy and willingness to work as the class teacher,had relatively sufficient management time,and were willing to get along with students;affected by the characteristics of the deputy science department itself,the deputy subject class teacher was more likely to explore the interests and hobbies of students and grasp the personality characteristics of different students.However,compared with the main science department,in the society,the social recognition of the deputy subject class teacher is low,and the degree of parental cooperation is insufficient;within the school,the number and proportion of the deputy subject class teacher team are small,the deputy subject class teacher’s work is unstable,and the term of office is short;from its own point of view,the communication effect between the home and school of the deputy subject class teacher is relatively poor,and the management level of the deputy subject teacher team is uneven.Based on the above research results,this paper explains the reasons affecting the work status of the deputy head teacher from three aspects: social environment factors,school organization factors,and the factors of the deputy subject class teacher himself,and proposes relevant improvement strategies in the above three aspects.
