The Content, Characteristics And Enlightenment Of American Preschool Animal Education Regulations

Preschool animal education allows children to master animal knowledge,learn how to explore animals,and cultivate children's positive emotional attitudes towards animals.This research uses the American preschool animal education regulations as the starting point.First,the content analysis method is used to comb the early learning standards of 51 states to form the preschool animal education standards.Then,sort out the animal management regulations issued by different government departments for animals in early education institutions.In the process,the author found that the regulations showed the following characteristics: preschool animal education regulations advocate animals to serve children;the "standard" emphasizes the locality of animal resources,emphasizes children's knowledge of animal science,proposes the use of Internet technology when exploring animals,emphasize children's understanding of the ecological relationship with animals,and encourage children to learn to treat animals correctly when they contact with animals;supporting animal management regulations are detailed and comprehensive,focusing on communicating with parents about animal-related matters.Next,the author analyzes the background of the regulations,which are closely related to the maturing animal ethics,the long-standing animal protection legislation,and the humane education in preschool education.In order to explore the enlightenment of regulations to my country,the author first analyzed my country's regulations,reflecting on the fact that my country's regulations are childoriented,and did not explicitly mention animal welfare.There are few preschool education regulations that mention animals,and they have not issued animal management regulations.This may be related to the fact that my country's regulations do not mention much about the value orientation of the animal welfare theory,nature education advocates bringing outdoor real nature to children,and has not yet established a complete animal welfare law.Therefore,the author believes that American regulations have the following enlightenment for improving my country's regulations: first,the value guidance of equality between humans and animals in the regulations should be highlighted,and the concept of animal welfare should be practiced;second,refine the goals and performance indicators of the "Guideline" to improve operability;secondly,enrich children's animal experience in multiple ways to increase understanding of animals;finally,formulate preschool animal management regulations to standardize preschool animal management.
