In the contemporary society,family education is not only a private affair,but a major event that the whole society needs to pay attention to and participates in.The outlook of children today shows the prospect of tomorrow's country.The educational behaviors and choices are greatly determined by the educational quality of parents,which can directly affect their children and play a vital role in children's physical and mental development.This study selects a new emerging force among parents—the post-90s parents,as the research subject.Based on ecosystem theory,informal and incidental learning as well as adult pedagogy,adopt a mixed research method combining quantitative and qualitative research,525 questionnaires were issued and 17 parents born in the 1990s were interviewed,this study is working on the current situation and influencing factors of the education quality of the parents in the new generation.The results of the study show that the educational quality of the post-90s parents is relatively high on the whole.They take the initiative to learn family education knowledge,and tend to follow scientific education concepts.They are generally gentler towards their children in educational methods,with more care and concern expressed to their children,and more respect for children's ideas.Qualitative research found that parents born in the 1990s own the following characteristics.First,post-90s parents hope to be friends with their children.They have less expectations for their children in academic performance but hope they have moral character and good behavior.Parents who have not yet had a second child show lower willingness to give birth.Second,in terms of educational methods,post-90s parents spend more time with their children during their breaks and plan various family activities.They have fewer restrictions on their children in parent-child interaction.They show more encouragement when treating their children and rarely punish them at will;they are more dependent on inter-generational education.The fathert's participation in parentchild education has improved,but is still relatively insufficient.In the organization of life,they attach more importance to children's daily education and focus less on longterm planning.Third,in regard of educational knowledge,post-90s parents rarely participate in family education and guidance activities.They mainly rely on informal learning and occasional learning to acquire family education knowledge.They have strong individual characteristics for the content and form of family education knowledge learning.Through the research on the current situation of the educational quality of post-90s parents,it is found that the educational quality of parents will be affected by the original family,personal development,important others and social environment.Based on the results of empirical research,this study puts forward the following suggestions:husband and wife negotiate to allocate childcare responsibilities reasonably;parents collaborate with grandparents to create a community of children's growth;the government evaluates the family education needs,and formulates targeted family education guidance strategies forpost-90s;society gives comprehensive support to reduce the burden on young parents.
