With the rapid development of vocational education and the theory of career identity,modern society needs not only practical skill talents,but also high-quality talents with sustainable development ability.Under this situation,the society has put forward more strict requirements for tour guide personnel.Secondary vocational schools are one of the main sources to deliver tour guide personnel and are faced with the challenge of not only improving students' professional knowledge and skills,but also paying attention to their career identity education in order to promote their future career development.The Business of Tour Guiding is the core course for tourism majors in secondary vocational schools,and there are still some problems in the teaching of this course,thus,it is necessary to research and design the teaching of Business of Tour Guiding by combining the idea of career identity.This paper uses literature analysis,questionnaire survey and interview survey to investigate and analyze the current situation of teaching "Tour Guide Business" in three secondary vocational schools in Nanjing,and learns that there are some similar problems in both students and teachers in all three schools,for students: poor understanding of theoretical knowledge and insufficient vocational cognition;low interest in learning and low vocational emotion;poor study habits and low level of vocational skills;for teachers: unreasonable teaching objectives;single teaching strategy;one-sided teaching evaluation;no emphasis on career identity education.In addition,the problems of teachers' career identity education in the teaching of "Guide Business" include: little understanding of the theories and knowledge concepts related to career identity;weak awareness of penetration,limited only to the emotional dimension;difficulties in the implementation of four aspects: time,technique,method and order.Based on the research findings of this paper,combined with the theory of career identity,the teaching of "Tour Guide Business" is studied from various aspects such as the object,goal,strategy,media,process and evaluation of instructional design,respectively,and two cases are selected for teaching practice,and teaching implementation suggestions are made from both students and teachers,for students:serious study of theoretical knowledge and skills of tourism profession;establishment of awareness of career development;correct understanding of the course "Tour Guide Business" under the orientation of career identity;for teachers: clarify the teaching objectives;pay attention to the arrangement of teaching contents,strategies and media;create an open teaching evaluation environment;pay attention to the integration of career identity theory and the teaching of "Tour Guide Business".The innovation of this paper lies in the innovation of perspective and theory,combining the theory of career identity with the teaching of tour guide for practical research,and providing a new perspective for the application of career identity theory in the teaching of "Tour Guide Business".
