The 21 st century is the era of knowledge economy,which has higher requirements for people's knowledge and cultural level.As the main way for people to obtain knowledge,skills and culture,reading is very important for people's emotion,personality and their own development and progress.The elementary school stage is an important stage for children to use reading to obtain a wealth of knowledge reserves,and to improve their own understanding,innovation and acceptance.Therefore,in elementary school,it is very important and necessary for students to cultivate reading as their own hobby.With the continuous and in-depth development of basic education reform and the increasing attention of families and all sectors of society,the importance of primary school students' extracurricular reading is increasing day by day and has gradually become an important part of Chinese curriculum.It complements the classroom Chinese teaching in the conventional sense.The combination of the two promotes the development of students' knowledge and ability.However,at this stage,the situation of primary school students' extracurricular reading is not optimistic,in which there are many problems and puzzles.Therefore,it is of great practical significance and value to investigate and study the relationship between pupils' extracurricular reading learning motivation and extracurricular reading status.This paper of a primary school in Hedong District of Tianjin as the research object,this paper investigates the current situation of primary school students' extracurricular reading,explores the relationship between motivation guidance and extracurricular reading,and deeply analyzes the advantages and characteristics of cultivating primary school students' extracurricular reading interest based on motivation guidance,And put forward some corresponding training strategies and suggestions.The paper is divided into five parts.The introduction describes the origin of the topic,the purpose and value of the research,and combs the current research status.The first chapter investigates the current situation of primary school students' extracurricular reading interest from the perspective of investigating the current situation of primary school students' extracurricular reading.The survey found that students' extracurricular reading interest level has certain differences,especially in reading ability,understanding ability,evaluation ability,reference ability,reading interest,reading habits and so on.The second chapter analyzes the characteristics and shortcomings of pupils' interest in extracurricular reading under the full investigation of students' questionnaire and field visit,and analyzes the causes of the problems from the aspects of parents,teachers and schools.On this basis,it has a certain relevance to the cultivation of students' interest in extracurricular reading by clarifying learning motivation.The third chapter analyzes the correlation between motivation guidance and the cultivation of pupils' extracurricular reading interest,and explores the persistence,order and purpose of the cultivation of pupils' extracurricular reading interest based on motivation guidance.The fourth chapter puts forward the strategies of cultivating pupils' extracurricular reading interest based on motivation guidance from the two aspects of internal motivation and external motivation,parents,teachers and schools.On the one hand,strengthen internal motivation,stabilize internal needs,pay attention to the cultivation of students' extracurricular reading ability,and help students clarify the significance of extracurricular reading.Stimulate students' interest in reading and form good habits by providing a lot of reading time and carrying out rich activities;On the other hand,provide external guarantee,consolidate reading motivation,balance students' personality and development,and provide children with suitable books and communication platforms and opportunities after reading.
