Mental arithmetic is the basis of students' written calculation,estimation and simple calculation,and it is also one of the key parts of computing ability.Primary school mathematics teaching should pay attention to mental calculation,strengthen estimation,and advocate the diversification of algorithms.The mathematics course in the stage of compulsory education is the basic course to cultivate citizens' quality.Mental arithmetic ability is the basis of computing ability,and it is of great significance to the cultivation of students' computing and thinking ability,which is an important ability of primary school students' mathematics learning.At the same time,mental arithmetic is widely used in life.The improvement of mental arithmetic ability is also of great significance for students to adapt to the society.The golden age of primary school mental arithmetic development is in the low stage,so it is of great significance to study and improve primary school low stage mental arithmetic ability for students' mathematics learning career.Mental arithmetic is different from written arithmetic.Its characteristic is to say or write the results directly through memory,thinking and brain operation.In view of the characteristics of mental arithmetic,this study mainly adopts the methods of test,interview,follow-up survey,questionnaire survey and literature research.This study first uses the literature research method to sort out the existing research results at home and abroad,learn from the excellent experience and methods,then uses the questionnaire survey method,test method and interview method to study the confusion of primary school teachers and students in mental arithmetic teaching and learning,and comprehensively analyzes the current situation of mental arithmetic teaching in the lower grades of primary school,It is found that there are the following problems: Students' low interest in mental arithmetic,teachers' single teaching method,emphasizing results over calculation theory in teaching.This paper deeply analyzes the causes of these problems,and puts forward the following improvement measures: collective teaching and research,optimize mental arithmetic teaching,scientifically arrange mental arithmetic training,carry out competitions to stimulate interest in mental arithmetic,pay close attention to teaching conventions,cultivate students' good habits,scientifically establish and improve school management mechanism,and reasonably plan integrated courses.Taking advantage of the convenience of being engaged in front-line teaching and responsible for the teaching and research work of the school,while studying the teaching strategy,the author synchronously determines the teaching and research plan,reasonably integrates the curriculum,uses the tracking survey method to explore and improve the mental arithmetic teaching strategy in practice,and then puts forward some practical mental arithmetic teaching strategies suitable for the school.Taking Jinxing primary school in Kunming as the main object,this study analyzes the current situation and causes of low-level mental arithmetic teaching in primary schools,fully considers practical factors,and takes practical measures to improve students' mental arithmetic ability,in order to explore the teaching strategies of low-level mental arithmetic suitable for our school or urban ordinary primary schools similar to our school,so as to contribute to the improvement of education and teaching of our school,It is also hoped that it can be used for reference to schools of the same type.
