| Gifted mathematics students in junior middle school are a special group,and the needs of gifted mathematics students are seldom considered in mathematics courses of general education(especially in compulsory education stage).With the continuous deepening of quality education,the new curriculum reform puts forward "let different people get different development in mathematics".As a teacher,we must deeply understand the learning characteristics of mathematics gifted students,adopt corresponding teaching strategies for mathematics gifted students,and teach students according to their aptitude,so that mathematics gifted students can get long-term development in mathematics.This study adopts literature review method,questionnaire survey method,interview method and test method to investigate the learning characteristics of gifted mathematics students in junior middle school.Through the analysis of the research results,the learning characteristics of gifted mathematics students in junior middle school are obtained:(1)the learning motivation,the junior middle school mathematics gifted student study mathematics of internal motivation mainly in learning mathematics can improve the mathematics accomplishment,exercise the mathematical thinking and gifted student own love,mainly comes from the external motive for examination and test good university,math is useful,and the competition between the students and get good grades to get recognition,the teacher speak well,mathematics is the foundation of science,etc.(2)In terms of learning will,most gifted mathematics students study mathematics hard and will try their best to solve difficult problems.However,failure to solve difficult problems will sometimes blow the confidence of gifted mathematics students.More than half of mathematics gifted students need to strengthen their learning initiative,and attributed the decline in their performance to their lack of effort or bad learning habits.(3)In terms of learning methods,the method of learning mathematics pays more attention to listening to the teacher carefully and completing homework carefully.Most gifted mathematics students can finish homework independently,and they will discuss with classmates or ask teachers for help when they are not familiar with problems.Most of mathematics gifted students have been invited to tutor or attend math tutoring classes,but few of them have achieved good results.(4)In terms of learning interest,most mathematics gifted students have a strong interest in mathematics,and they like mathematics for the following reasons: it can inspire their thinking,it is interesting,they have a sense of achievement in learning mathematics,and the teachers teach them well.A small part of gifted students do not like mathematics,the reason is: mathematics homework is much,think mathematics is useless,mathematics is boring.(5)Gifted mathematics students in junior high school prefer teachers who are easy to understand,humorous,passionate,able to stimulate students’ thinking and interest,respect students and teach students according to their aptitude.(6)Junior high school mathematics gifted students’ mathematical abstraction,intuitive imagination,logical reasoning ability still need to be strengthened.Based on the research of the junior middle school mathematics gifted student learning characteristics,based on theory of education psychology,literature with gifted student junior middle school mathematics teaching strategy,teacher interview result analysis,and the author as a mathematics teacher and class teacher education teaching practice experience,established accord with the characteristics of mathematics gifted student teaching strategies,and taught in their classes to practice,Finally,seven teaching strategies for gifted students in junior high school are summarized:(1)Teachers should fully prepare lessons to improve classroom efficiency,and trigger deep thinking of gifted mathematics students by supplementing and expanding the content;(2)Teachers should be diligent in studying the solution of difficult problems and lead gifted students in mathematics to break through difficulties bravely;(3)teachers should optimize the homework design and develop the intelligent advantage of mathematics gifted students;(4)Teachers should guide students to communicate with each other in mathematics and improve their interest in mathematics;(5)Teachers should respect students’ individuality and let gifted mathematics students give full play to their creativity;(6)Teachers should have the ability to educate students and arouse the motivation of mathematics gifted students;(7)Home-school co-education to strengthen the ability of mathematics gifted students to manage themselves at home. |
