At present,the reform of the new college entrance examination has been carried out nationwide,and the selection of examinations is one of the characteristics of this round of college entrance examination reform.How to choose the examinations has become a hot issue for students,teachers and parents.The subject of geography is one of the subjects for this round of college entrance examination reform.Understanding the current status of students 'geography of selection and the factors that influence students' geography of selection can be the teaching of geography teachers,the guidance of schools and parents to the selection of students 'students,and the students' Provide assistance in development planning,etc.The purpose of this paper is to study the influencing factors of students' selection of geography.Taking 130 senior high school students in the second grade of Southwest University Affiliated High School(abbreviated as West University Affiliated Middle School)as their research objects,through literature research,questionnaire survey,interview survey,data statistics,etc The influence of school factors,family factors,social factors,personal factors,geography subject factors,and teacher factors on the students' geography of selection is analyzed.According to the basic principles of need-level theory and attribution theory,this paper divides the influencing factors of students' selection of geography into six dimensions: school,family,society,individual,subject,and teacher."Questionnaire",and through the reliability analysis test of SPSS software,rationally set the questionnaire question and answer.Then use SPSS,questionnaire star,Excel and other data processing software,content analysis combined with interview survey to organize the questionnaire data and explore the influence of different factors on the geography of students' selection of exams;Finally,through the comparison and comprehensive analysis of the degree of influence,it summarizes the characteristics and problems of students in the selection of geography,and puts forward suggestions to increase the proportion of students in the selection of geography subjects.The research shows that the factors of 6 dimensions all have an influence on the students' geography of selection,but the degree of influence is different.The main influences of different factors on the geography of students' selection are:(1)Personal factors have the greatest impact on students 'geography of selection.Personal factors mainly include students' interest in learning geography,achievements,and potential.These three options are the proportion of students 'selection in the questionnaire survey on the reasons why students choose geography as the subject of selection.61.54%,53.08%,33.85%,ranking in the top 3,the highest proportion of interest factors.(2)Among the factors of the teacher dimension,the teacher 's personal charm,knowledge level,teaching methods,attention to students,evaluation disciplines,teaching concepts,teaching style,teaching wit have a great influence on the geography of students 'examinations.Among them,teaching Style is the most influential factor.In this questionnaire survey,which attracts students to choose the teachers of geography subjects and enhances the interest of teachers of geography learning,the proportions selected by students are 60% and 76.92%,ranking first.(3)Most students think that they play a decisive role in the selection of the geography,parents and teachers play an auxiliary role,and parents have a greater influence on the selection of the geography than the teachers.The proportion of students who think that they,parents,and teachers play a decisive role respectively 87.69%,6.15%,3.08%.(4)Students do not have enough understanding of the policies related to the new college entrance examination model and the employment background of the geography subject.25.39% of the students do not understand the new college entrance examination selection plan,and 76.16% of the students do not understand the employment background of the geography subject.The study also shows that the subject of geography is more popular among the combination of selected subjects.At the same time,it also shows that there is a tendency of liberal arts in the combination of subjects in the selection of geography,and there are generally gender differences in the influencing factors of geographical selection,and the distribution of influencing factors is relatively scattered but relatively concentrated.Through the analysis of the influence of different factors and the characteristics and problems of geographic selection,this paper believes that in order to increase the proportion of students who choose geographic subjects,they can start from the following 9 aspects.(1)Pay attention to the cultivation of students' interest in learning geography;(2)Pay attention to the improvement of teachers' personal charm and teaching ability;(3)Encourage teachers to cultivate their own teaching style;(4)Pay attention to parents' understanding of the new college entrance examination;(5)Improve students' perception of the subject of geography and increase guidance for students in the selection of geography;(6)Understand the dynamic changes and development of policies to improve students' ability to adapt to society;(7)Pay attention to the guidance of students' methods and strategies of learning geography,and pay full attention to students;(8)Improve students' geographical achievements;(9)Combining the characteristics of geography disciplines with geography teaching.At the same time,in the context of the new college entrance examination,teachers should adapt to the requirements of the development of the times and develop and improve themselves in a diversified manner;When instructing students to choose the exam,they should pay attention to the needs of students' self-development,and give full play to the main role of students and the auxiliary role of parents.Limited to the research time and level,this article may not be comprehensive enough in the study of the variables of the geographical influence factors of students' selection,and they can be deeply explored and explored;At the same time,if the sample size of research and analysis can be increased,the data analysis and conclusions of this article will be more representative.
