Math anxiety is a subject-specific learning anxiety, which is caused by negative changes in physiology, psychology and behavior due to excessive worry about mathematics-related activities, which affects students' achievement and efficiency in mathematics learning.High math anxiety will hinder the correct self-knowledge of junior high school students and affect their healthy physical and mental growth. The emphasis of this study is on the present situation of math anxiety among junior secondary students after the implementation of the "double reduction" policy,to explore the causes and influence mechanisms of mathematics anxiety, and to propose specific and effective countermeasures to alleviate mathematics anxiety. This study is divided into three parts. The first part combines the previous literature and selects the "Mathematics Anxiety Scale" to investigate the present situation of math anxiety among junior secondary students after the implementation of the "double reduction" policy.Through data analysis, the results are following: the overall distribution of mathematics anxiety among junior high school students is approximately normal distribution, and The majority of junior secondary students have lower middle levels of maths anxiety, and some students with high mathematics anxiety should be paid attention to;In terms of gender differences, girls have higher levels of maths anxiety than boys, and they have higher concerns about learning mathematics;in terms of grade differences, the math anxiety level of the 7th grade students is significantly lower than that of the 8th grade, and the math anxiety level of the 8th grade is significantly lower than that of the 9th grade, and the math anxiety level increases with the grade.Mathematics anxiety negatively predicts mathematics achievement to some extent, and the relation between math anxiety and math scores may be inverted U shape. In the second part, according to the survey findings of the scale, one student with low math anxiety, one student with moderate math anxiety and one student with high math anxiety were screened out.By using classroom observation and interview methods, the causes of math anxiety of junior high school students and its influence mechanism of math anxiety were initially summarized. The causes mainly include school, family, society and mathematics subject factors. These four factors deeply affect students' character and make students form completely different learning attitudes towards mathematics. In the process of mathematics learning, the individual's attention system is particularly critical.Excessive mathematics anxiety makes the goal-directed processing system and the stimulus-driven system unbalanced, leading to distraction, impairing attention control function, and thus affecting mathematics academic performance. The third part, based on the findings of the first two parts, conducts preliminary intervention on high mathematics anxiety cases.Based on the results of the case intervention, proposes feasible measures to alleviate mathematics anxiety of junior high school students from three aspects: students, teachers and parents.Students should understand mathematics correctly to prevent anxiety from accumulating problems;understand themselves correctly, and build self-confidence to overcome anxiety;communicate continuously and use interpersonal support to relieve anxiety.Teachers should develop mathematics curriculum resources and create mathematical situations;teach students to learn and be good at boosting students' learning progress;promote homework design reform and carefully design hierarchical homework;implement diversified assessments to make students believe that they can do it.Parents should also communicate with teachers to set mathematics goals for their children;talk regularly and pay attention to their children's psychological trends.
