The biology curriculum standard for compulsory education(2011 Edition)advocates inquiry learning,trying to help students understand the essence of science by changing students' learning methods.Biological concept is the core content of biological knowledge system.To train students' ability to flexibly analyze and deal with biological problems,the key is to firmly and accurately grasp the basic biological concepts.Applying the model to concept teaching can make the abstract concept intuitive,actively participate in the observation,analysis and construction of biological model,enhance students' practical creativity and problem-solving ability,and better understand and grasp the biological concept and scientific essence.It is of great practical significance and feasibility to try to apply the model method to the teaching of biological concepts.This study uses the literature research method to search the relevant literature at home and abroad.It is found that there has been some research on the application of model to concept teaching in the field of biology,but it is not deep enough,especially in junior middle school biology.Therefore,the application of model to junior middle school biology concept teaching has certain theoretical and practical value.Based on the existing research results,this study defines the basic concept and classification of model and the teaching of biological concept based on model.Using the methods of questionnaire and interview,this paper investigates the current situation of the application of model in biology concept teaching in junior middle school,and puts forward specific countermeasures,that is,combing the models and concepts in biology textbooks,trying to build the basic process of biology concept teaching based on model construction,and finally forming the teaching design framework of biology concept teaching based on model construction,And make teaching design for the three types of models.Through the investigation and Research on teachers and students,some problems are found,such as students' strong willingness to participate in model construction activities,but lack of cognition of model and model construction,teachers' lack of strategies and methods of model teaching,and weak awareness of the application of model in concept teaching.By constructing the basic process of model-based biological concept teaching,the teaching cases of three types of models are designed,which is reasonable after expert evaluation.According to the above research results,this paper gives the following prospects: first,expand the research scope,establish a more comprehensive model and construct the teaching design model;Second,develop more biology concept teaching cases based on model;Third,apply the model-based biological concept teaching design to practice.
