| This study takes M Primary School in Phoenix County as an example and uses literature,questionnaires,interviews,classroom observation,and other research methods to examine the current situation,problems and causes,and countermeasures to improve the teaching of writing in the senior grades of remote rural elementary school.The study was conducted.The findings of the study are as follows.The current situation of the senior students writing teaching in elementary school M is mainly manifested as follows: students lack interest in writing,low writing ability,and extreme lack of writing materials;teachers pay attention to writing teaching but are afraid of writing lessons,instruct students in writing,criticize and evaluate writing in a single way,and teachers rarely read and write themselves.The main problems are: students’ lack of motivation to work on writings,material for writings,students’ poor writing skills,and teachers’ neglect of individual instruction for students.After investigation and analysis,the main reasons are: firstly,the teachers’ high work requirements inhibit students’ work motivation;secondly,the lack of reading and life experience makes it difficult to enrich work materials,mainly because of the financial inability of families in remote villages to support students’ extracurricular reading needs,and students’ Third,poor study habits and language differences make it difficult to improve students’ writing skills,poor study habits make it difficult to improve the quality of students’ writing,and the differences between Hmong and Chinese expressions affect students’ writing expressions;fourth,a single teaching method makes it difficult to improve students’ writing skills,mainly because teachers pay too much attention to writing templates and imitations that affect students’ Fourthly,the single teaching method is difficult to improve students’ writing skills,mainly because teachers pay too much attention to writing templates and imitations,which affect students’ expression of real feelings,heavy teaching tasks take up teachers’ time to guide students’ writing,general explanations lack relevance in writing teaching,the uniform teaching mode is difficult to stimulate students’ creative interests,and one-way correction and evaluation are difficult to guide students’ thinking quality in writing.In view of the current situation and problems of senior elementary school writing teaching,the proposed countermeasures for improvement are: first,to start with interest and motivate students to practice writing.This includes making good use of games,diluting the traces of "writing",and enhancing students’ "readership";second,experiencing rural life and effectively using rural-specific teaching resources to enrich writing materials.Teachers can seize the characteristics of the seasons,into the natural scenery of the countryside,use the busy season,into the countryside production work,but also use the special season,visit the countryside unique activities;third,small things to start to cultivate students good habits,improve students’ ability to practice.The fourth is to improving teachers’ methods and skills in teaching writing.First of all,students should be involved in enriching the way of exercise criticism and commenting.Teachers should be targeted to point out the direction of revision for students,encourage students to correct themselves and each other,develop students’ independent revision ability,and promote the sharing of students’ work experience;second,read and write together,improving the effectiveness of classroom teaching.When teaching reading,teachers should make good use of key words to enrich students’ language inventory,strengthen sentence training to improve students’ verbal skills,and finally use the texts in the teaching materials to penetrate the exercise methods;furthermore,teachers should understand students and establish a good teacher-student relationship;Finally,to improve the quality of teachers and promote their professional development. |
