Merging primary schools in remote areas has been a main form of layout adjustment of schools; It got some support because of its concentration of educational resources, large-scale benefits, and improved conditions of teaching-learning environment. However, the layout itself of schools in remote areas is not simple educational problems; it involves the values of basic education in these areas and many other issues. Therefore, we expect to change such a complicated reality.At present, school merging are more rational treated and though because of its problem on merging. In this paper, on the one hand, the author want to get some ideas by way of listening to the thought of students and their parents in village Mu; and on the other hand, the author interviewed teachers who work in primary school of Mu and in central school of town to come to understand the impacts of students on merging primary schools in remote areas. Of course, firstly, the author of this study pays attention to the concerns of rural basic education; secondly, the author bears the fate of rural schools in mind; finally, this study has concerned about the growth of the kids in remote areas. And in the end of the study, some related theories will be explained the impacts on the students of merging primary schools in remote areas.Qualitative research is used in the study. By official and unofficial interviews with students who had gone to central school in town, and who will go to central school in town, the author visited their parents and had a talk with some teachers in order to understand these kids better; moreover, the author got involved in the students life to come to understand. The authors analyze or answers questions of basic education in remote areas with responsibility.This paper is divided into the following six parts:Part one:Introduction. This part firstly describes the main cause of this study and the details of this study, and then, explains the interrelated key concepts of study. Lastly, the current research as well as space for further research of this study had been described, the all of these studies provide the theoretical support for this study.Part two:Design and process of the study. This part mainly consists of the study and the way of this study, and discusses the reliability and validity of the study; finally the ethical issues of study as well as the structure of this study had been described.Part three:Overview of the study. This part explains the basic situation of Mu, including of its location and environment and the objects of study, and the current circumstances and development of the primary school of village Mu, and the end introduces the study of this study.Part four:Life changes after merging primary school. This part explains the changes of the students such as their living and learning environment, and obtains to the scene of these students by fieldwork and observations, etc.Part five:What it means of merging primary schools in remote areas. This part discusses what these students will benefit from going to central school in town, while what they will lose. And analysis and interpretation of impacts on merging primary schools are explained.Part six:Impacts of merging primary school in remote areas. This part main summaries the thinking of this study by the basis of preamble, the impact of merging primary schools in remote areas is just the surface phenomenon for students, but the essence is the necessity of social transformation, and the process of influence is also the process of game of students in remote areas at this time.
