At present,China is in the period of rapid development of promoting modernization.Education plays an indispensable role in the process of all-round development of society,and it has gradually become the backbone of enhancing China’s comprehensive strength.In 2018,the Ministry of Education proposed to promote the“ Internet + education ” and promoted education to follow the pace of modernization.History refers to the events and activities of human beings in the past,which have two characteristics of non-renewable and past.In the existing history teaching activities,both teaching methods and teaching conditions can not meet the ever-changing information teaching needs,and cannot fill the knowledge needs of students and social groups.Therefore,while making the rapid progress of modernization,it is necessary to actively absorb the advantages of modern information technology,combine the characteristics of history discipline,innovate the teaching methods and methods of history discipline,give play to the joint role of high school history teaching and modernization,and promote the deep integration of the two.This paper takes the two core concepts of new media and self-directed learning as the starting point,and clearly expounds the theoretical foundations of multipleintelligences theory,constructivist theory,informal learning theory,and neo-constructivist theory.Through understanding and analysis,it is found that the following four types of problems will occur in the process of historical independent learning of high school students under the new media: first,students ’ self-control ability is low,and their self-supervision awareness is relatively weak when using new media;second,students use new media to carry out independent learning;third,students use new media to carry out independent learning Effect is not good;fourth,Schools and teachers have not played a sufficient role in guiding students in the use of new media.In view of the series of problems,we once again entered into deep excavation,and summarized the reasons into four points: one is that students lack effective learning strategies;second,students lack independent learning awareness;third,teachers ignore the main position of students in the process of new media teaching;fourth,schools ignore the development of student autonomy in the new media environment.Therefore,in the process of research,how can we better play the role of new media in education and teaching? The first thing is to follow certain educational principles,such as the scientific principles explained in the main text,the principle of moderation,and the principle of teacher-led student subjects.Based on certain principles,two major aspects of high school students’ learning strategies and teachers’ teaching strategies for self-directed learning of history are proposed.Students should correctly understand themselves,cultivate self-independence and autonomy;create certain conditions and spaces for independent learning;make full use of new media resources to maximize resources;and optimize the self-supervision and self-evaluation system in independent learning.Teaching strategies require teachers to optimize teaching concepts and look at the Internet dialectically;strengthen teacher training and improve guidance capabilities;schools are required to establish personalized education concepts and improve basic configurations;In addition,the combination of new media classrooms and traditional teaching is also an indispensable high-quality strategy.Finally,the introduction of new media proposes a three-step method in the specific teaching links,taking the 11 th lesson of the third unit in the "Outline of Chinese and Foreign History" "The Economy and Society of the Liao Song and Xia Jin Yuan Dynasty" as an example,respectively,before,during and after class,to show the application of new media technology in detail before,during and after class,so as to realize the significance of students’ independent learning in the teaching process.
