Research On The Service Of Long-term Care For The Elderly In Social Work Intervention Institution

With the deepening of social aging,the number of disabled and demented elderly is increasing day by day,and the demand for long-term care services is growing.At the same time,as family patterns change,family care can no longer fully meet the care needs of the elderly.Under the trend of socialization of long-term care,institutional care is one of the main modes of long-term care.Its services have unique advantages and professionalism.However,However,institutional care also has certain problems.It is difficult to meet the diversified needs of long-term care elderly.The above situation and problems show that relying only on doctors and nurses to provide services has certain limitations,and long-term care services must innovate institutional mechanisms.As a practical discipline,social work plays an important role in the field of long-term care,and can use its professional values and professional working methods to meet the diversified needs of the elderly in long-term care.To this end,this article mainly discusses the situation of long-term care of the elderly by social work services in x nursing institutions.This paper adopts a qualitative research method,selects X elderly care institutions to conduct on-site investigation and research through interviews and observations.Analysis of the degree of fit between the services of the elderly care center and the needs of long-term care for the elderly.Guided by a newer theoretical perspective on whole-person health theory Medical care,It is found that the needs of long-term care for the elderly are mainly concentrated in life care,medical care,psychological counseling,social interaction,spiritual needs and indirect needs.In addition,this paper takes the process perspective as the research entry point,which focuses on the specific practice process of social work intervention compared to previous research.It was found that the social workers in the X nursing institution work with the goal of assisting physical rehabilitation,providing spiritual comfort,social interaction,and providing caregiver services.The service goals are achieved by building an intelligent service platform,organizing rehabilitation groups,spiritual care services,carrying out targeted case work,implementing "Happiness Bank",building social platforms,and carrying out interesting activities.Based on this,it is found that social work has unique advantages,to a certain extent,it has assisted the rehabilitation and exercise of the elderly in long-term care,and has achieved certain results in spiritual comfort,social interaction,and stress relief for nurses.At the same time,it summarizes the service experience and problems,and finally make specific recommendations for x pension institutions,and make recommendations on how to develop social work in the field of long-term care.
