| With the implementation of the new curriculum standard of the Ministry of Education,the Chinese curriculum reform has taken another big step forward.With the attention of the new curriculum standard,the whole book reading thought has become a research hotspot in the current Chinese education field,which also shows the importance of the whole book reading for students’ development.The "Happy Reading Bar" column in Chinese textbooks for primary schools is a new column added under the guidance of this idea,aiming at making extracurricular reading curriculum.At present,the research on the whole book reading teaching in primary schools is not comprehensive.Most of the studies focus on the low or high sections of primary schools,and pay less attention to the middle sections of primary schools,and the research on the current teaching situation is also insufficient.In this study,the Happy Reading Bar in the middle of primary school is taken as an example.Firstly,the functional orientation,layout characteristics,content characteristics and the possibility of teaching the whole book based on it are summarized by using text analysis method.Then,taking the reading teaching of Happy Reading Bar in the middle of a primary school in Huzhou City as a case study,a comprehensive questionnaire survey is conducted on the current situation of reading teaching in primary schools from the perspectives of teachers,students and parents.It is found that,taking "Happy Reading Bar" as an example,the whole book reading thought has not received corresponding attention in all aspects of classroom teaching,and reading teaching,as an important part of Chinese teaching in primary schools,has not well promoted the development of students’ Chinese literacy.At the same time,the study also found that there are some problems in primary school reading teaching at present,such as teachers’ teaching objectives are not specific and pertinence is not strong,teaching contents are incomplete,reading quantity is insufficient,teaching methods are not rich and flexibility is not enough,students’ lack of active reading interest and benign reading motivation,parents’ lack of attention to reading columns,no good reading environment,and no necessary reading guidance,etc.From different angles of teachers,students and parents,the study put forward Finally,the trend of reading teaching reform in primary schools is discussed. |
