| Under the guidance of the new curriculum standard, the new edition PPE textbook has reduced the content of definite integrals, the importance of derivative has been further strengthened. What are the requirements for derivative in the new curriculum standard? How derivative content presented in the new textbook? How difficult are the exercises? If we look abroad, how does France, which is rich in mathematicians, deal with these problems in terms of curriculum standard and textbooks? What are the differences between two countries? With these questions,we carry out the following research and analysis: using literature analysis, comparative research and quantitative analysis to compare the curriculum standards, content settings and difficulty of exercises on the derivative content of Chinese and French textbooks.By comparison we find:1.Similarities in the content requirements of the derivative of the Chinese and French curriculum standards: they are all based on students, have the same knowledge points, few proofs, and emphasis on the combination of theory and practice.Difference: The French edition focuses more on the use of software tools.2.Similarities in the content setting: the derivative contents are both arranged in the same order, and the textbook exercises are all set in layers.Differences: the layout design of the French edition is more vivid, while the two PPE editions are relatively subtle;the French edition pays more attention to pre-class activities. The presentation and introduction of concepts are different: the French edition directly expresses the definition of the derivative;while the new PPE edition first introduces the limit and then abstracts the concept of the derivative from the average rate of change of the function;the old PPE edition introduced the concept of average rate of change through two practical cases, and the concept of derivative is obtained by the instantaneous rate of change.3.Comprehensive difficulties: The new edition of PPE teaching material is comprehensively higher than the old edition PPE teaching material in five levels.Compared with the application and background, the French edition of the textbook pays more attention to the requirements of operation, reasoning and knowledge content. The corresponding recommendations are given after the comparative study. |
