| The progress of science and technology promote the development of the education,and the contemporary society needs more practical and innovative talents.Practice and innovation ability has become an essential quality for contemporary students,and cultivating students’ ability of practice and innovation has become a key point in education.For the primary school,open source hardware course is one of the important way to carry out the practice and innovation ability training.However,at present,there is no mature teaching mode in the cultivation of practice and innovation ability of primary and middle school students,and relevant research needs to be strengthened.Therefore,this study explored how to better cultivate and enhance students’ ability of practice and innovation from the open source hardware course in primary schools.This study sorted out the domestic and foreign research on the cultivation of practice and innovation ability and the teaching of open source hardware courses,clarified the core concepts,summarized the existing research results,and drew lessons from relevant teaching cases.Then,based on constructivism and humanism,as well as the theories of inquiry learning and anchored teaching,the teaching mode of open source hardware curriculum in primary schools oriented to practice and innovation ability was constructed,and the six core objectives of teaching implementation are formulated: basic knowledge,innovative consciousness,innovative psychological quality,information processing ability,management and coordination ability and hands-on ability.In order to verify the effectiveness of the teaching model,this study carried out a teaching experiment in J Primary School in Shanghai.The teaching resources and tools such as Arduino Ble-Uno,other sensor modules and Magic Block programming software were used to design the course content,forming the "Smart Home" theme teaching cases.Eighteen students from J Primary School in Shanghai who participated in the science and technology club were selected as the experimental objects to carry out the 13-week teaching experiment.During the experiment,the questionnaire data of practice and innovation ability measurement and procedural works were collected to compare the difference of students’ practice and innovation ability before and after the experiment.The results show that students’ practice and innovation ability has been improved on the whole,which verifies the effectiveness of teaching model of open source hardware in primary school oriented to practice and innovation ability. |
