With the continuous advancement of the new curriculum reform and the implementation of the "Lide Tree People" task, the primary school information technology curriculum focuses on the cultivation of the core accomplishment of innovative talents. The curriculum of information technology in primary schools has been incorporated into the curriculum of comprehensive practical activities, and the Ministry of Education has clearly pointed out that the curriculum of comprehensive practical activities in primary and secondary schools is school-based,and the curriculum is managed and guided by local management, with the Teachers are required to start from the real problems of students,to explore and solve the problems into teaching projects, carry out project teaching, through inquiry, design, practice and other ways to cultivate students ' problem solving,hands-on practice ability and creative thinking and other comprehensive literacy. Therefore, how should the teachers of information technology courses in primary schools,in accordance with the requirements set out in the syllabus for the course of comprehensive practical activities in primary and secondary schools, carry out teaching project design in combination with students ' learning and life practice is an urgent problem to be solved at present.STEAM Education Concept is a new educational concept developed rapidly in recent years, emphasizing interdisciplinary learning, with the aim of integrating knowledge and methods in many subject areas to solve real problems.Project teaching is project-driven,students through hands-on practice, cooperative learning to solve real problems. Therefore, the concept of STEAM education has laid a theoretical foundation for the development of information Technology course project design and teaching in primary schools. This paper studies the design scheme of information Technology course teaching project in primary school under the concept of STEAM education, and provides guidance for teachers to carry out the teaching project design of information Technology course in primary school. This paper mainly uses the literature analysismethod, the investigation research method and the action research method. This paper analyzes the nature, goal and implementation of the project teaching of information Technology course in primary school, and clarifies the fit point between STEAM education idea and the teaching of Information Technology course project in primary school. This paper sums up the principles, elements and multidimensional evaluation system of the teaching project design of information Technology course in primary school under the guidance of STEAM education idea, and constructs and perfects the project teaching design process, which includes: determining the theme, creating the situation, project design, setting goals, activity implementation, results display and multivariate evaluation. Each part carries on the organic combination, the circulation, causes the project teaching to carry on the more effective.According to the process of project design and its principles, three rounds of iterative experiments were carried out through the action research method, and the experimental results of cultivating students ' ability of information processing expression,hands-on practice and teamwork were carried out by SPSS pairing sample test P<0.05,which showed that there was a significant improvement.Students ' creativity tends to increase significantly in curiosity, challenge, and imagination in three dimensions(P<0.05),with no significant change in adventurous dimensions(p>0.05).For students to train interdisciplinary problem-solving ability, the cultivation of social responsibility, the development of core literacy has a certain degree of help.
