With the development of Chinese curriculum reform,the whole book reading has aroused extensive attention of Chinese educators.The process of reading "the whole book" can broaden students' reading horizon,optimize Chinese reading teaching,and deeply promote a series of changes in Chinese curriculum.More and more teachers realized the content advantages and teaching advantages of "whole book reading".Although the importance of whole book reading has been reflected in the Chinese Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2011Edition),there are problems such as unsystematic reading,superficial reading and utilitarian reading.Therefore,finding a suitable teaching way to carry out the whole book reading is an important direction of Chinese teaching reform at present.Based on Water Margin as the breakthrough point,this paper discusses the basis of reading teaching value of the whole book of Water Margin from the reading requirements of Chinese curriculum standards,compiling Chinese textbook writing ideas and examination of classics reading test points these three aspects,and analyzes its teaching value from expanding culture field of vision,leading the spiritual growth,promote the development of thinking these three aspects.Secondly,it makes a detailed investigation and analysis of the reading teaching status of the whole book.According to the results of the survey,the problems existing in the reading teaching of the whole book are summarized,which can be divided into four categories:First,teachers' teaching objectives are not clear and lack of guidance;Second,students are afraid of difficulties and lack of systematic methods;Third,the interpretation of students' works is superficial and obvious,lacking in-depth discussion;Fourth,the perspective of teacher evaluation is simplified and the teaching of reading is utilitarian.Based on the above problems,this paper puts forward the teaching strategies for the whole book of Water Margin: one is clarifying the teaching objectives and playing a guiding role;Second,guiding and supervising the learning process and encouraging reading;Third,carrying out reading activities to deepen reading comprehension;Fourth,implementing multiple evaluation and improving the evaluation system.It is hoped that the above strategies can alleviate the dilemma of the whole book reading teaching to a certain extent.
