Job performance is defined as: the unity of behaviors and results that employees can effectively promote the improvement of organizational performance while completing work tasks within the prescribed working hours through their own efforts.From the individual point of view,job performance is the embodiment of the employee's personal work achievements;As far as organizations are concerned,job performance is fundamental to organizational development.Existing studies have shown that relationship is an important factor affecting employees' job performance(Onyilo & Shamo,2019).As an informal relationship in the workplace,workplace friendship also affects employees' job performance.Workplace friendship is the product of the interaction between formal workplace environment and informal interpersonal relationship,which condenses the informal groups spontaneously existing in formal organizations and the norms of their specific behaviors,and has the effect of regulating and controlling the group behaviors of employees.Understanding the relationship between workplace friendship and job performance,and the mechanism of workplace friendship on job performance,is the cognitive premise of improving employees' job performance.As a positive psychological state in the heart of employees at work,feeling that you are thriving at work is a yardstick to measure their personal growth and progress.When employees feel that they are thriving at work,they will be full of energy,more willing to work,and more inclined to continue to learn new knowledge and accumulate new skills in their work.The knowledge and skills of employees are the important human capital of organization development and the source of job performance.Thriving at work is a kind of psychological feeling that is closely related to the workplace environment in which employees work.The workplace friendship originated from the workplace environment affects employees' felling of thriving at work from two dimensions: The opportunity of workplace friendship and the intensity of workplace friendship.The higher the workplace friendship opportunity and workplace friendship intensity,the higher the employee's psychological satisfaction.The satisfaction brought by this kind of workplace friendship can stimulate employees' work enthusiasm and enhance their work confidence,thus promoting the improvement of their job performance.This study first reviews the related literature of each variable,and sorts out the existing research results on workplace friendship,thriving at work,job performance.On this basis,the research hypothesis are put forward and the research model among the three is constructed.Then,an electronic questionnaire is distributed through the network,and the obtained data is analyzed by using SPSS to verify the hypothesis.This study finally confirmed the following conclusions :(1)Workplace friendship has a significant positive effect on job performance;(2)Workplace friendship has a significant positive effect on thriving at work;(3)Thriving at work has a significant positive effect on job performance;(4)The relationship between workplace friendship and job performance was partially mediated by thriving at work.Finally,on the basis of summarizing the conclusions of this study,countermeasures and suggestions are put forward to promote employees' job performance.
