With the advance of the reform of the senior high school entrance examination,geography and biology have been changed from the traditional "non-examination subjects" into the category of the high school entrance examination.As the newly added examination subjects,the study on the adaptability of the geography and biology teachers is particularly urgent.So far,the research on teacher's adaptation to reform mainly focus on quantitative analysis under the background of curriculum reform,little about examination reform.By means of qualitative analysis and taking the geography and biology teachers in S junior high school as samples,this study explored the adaptability of the teachers of newly added examination subjects under the background of senior high school entrance examination reform through one-on-one in-depth interviews.The research found that: firstly,due to the blank historical background of the new examination subjects,the teachers in S junior high school were generally adapt to the reform in four aspects: concept,attitude,ability and behavior.Secondly,in the process of the examination reform,teachers mainly had difficulty in the review and preparation for the examination and experienced three development stages: the confused period,the exploratory period and the summary period.From the beginning didn't not know how to review,to finally obtained the review should return to the textbook preparation experience.Thirdly,with the inevitable increase in the workload of the reform,there are three types of adaptation to the excessive workload: "the positive" ones seized the opportunity to improve the capital,"the negative" ones complained and dissatisfied,dealed with the reform negatively,and "the neutral" ones accept calmly and emotionally exhausted.Fourthly,the factors that affect teachers' adaptability include teachers' poor ability of psychological adjustment and self-pressure,the policy is not maturity,and students' number is big and the quality is uneven.Meanwhile the learning time of geography and biology is short,the test time is special,the test scores is lower,and the blank examination basis.There are many objective environmental factors in the school:heavy workload,inadequate teachers allocation,insufficient subject guide and unreasonable teacher' evaluation.Finally,based on the results of the survey,this study proposes some measures from the aspects of teachers' subject and objective educational environment to improve the adaptability of teachers in newly added test subjects.This study formed the content of teachers' adaptability under the background of the examination reform,provides a factual basis for the implementation of the reform,which is conducive to the steady promotion of the reform in this region and the promotion in the whole province.
