Keping County is located in the southern region of Xinjiang.It is a state-level poverty-stricken county.It will be officially withdrawn from the poverty-stricken county list in2020,but its education development is relatively backward.This paper through to the Keping County school physical education current development status of research,find out the shortcomings of school physical education,according to the education poverty alleviation theory put forward countermeasures and suggestions.In this paper,by means of literature,field investigation,mathematical statistics and interview,the present situation of sports development in 14 primary and secondary schools in Keping County was studied,mainly including teachers,physical education curriculum teaching,extracurricular sports activities,field equipment,sports funds and school sports assistance measures.The results showed:(1)The school sports aid in Keping County is mainly based on human and material aid.In the process of human resource assistance,the number of volunteer teachers in Keping County is small.The material aid mainly focuses on the site construction,the form of sports aid is single,and the intensity of sports aid is not enough.(2)The structure of PE teachers in Keping County is unstable,the number of teachers is insufficient,the title of teachers is not high,the scientific research ability is weak,the teacher team is younger,and the gender ratio of male and female teachers is not balanced.Physical education teacher work task is heavy,although the teacher salary can be paid on time,but some teachers are not satisfied with the income.Some teachers have the idea of leaving their jobs.(3)The school sports venues in Keping County can meet the teaching needs,but the number of basketball,volleyball and football venues in village schools is small.The quantity of sports equipment between schools is not balanced,and the utilization rate of equipment is not high enough.(4)Insufficient allocation of school sports funds,and some teachers responded that the school had no sports funds.(5)Most of the schools in Keping County can offer full physical education courses according to the requirements.Students from lower grades to higher grades have different degrees of love for physical education classes.However,the quality of physical education courses is not high,and some teachers do not write standard teaching plans,do not implement the requirements,and have negative attitudes in class.School leaders pay little attention to physical education.(6)The extracurricular sports activities of students in Keping County are mainly ball games,games and free activities,while the extracurricular sports activities of male students are basketball,football and volleyball,while the number of female students participating in games and free activities is in the majority.With the increase of age,the enthusiasm of female students participating in extracurricular sports activities decreases gradually.Secondly,school extracurricular organization is chaotic,there is no designated person in charge,some school extracurricular activities are less than one hour.The vast majority of schools do not have sports teams,and the reward mechanism for sports teams to participate in competitions is not perfect.Some schools have not carried out sports meetings in recent years.In addition to the sports meeting,some schools also carry out other recreational sports competition activities,but the participants are the staff.
